The Slipway B&B

A very warm welcome from the host, comfortable room with the perfect seaview straight out to the harbour. It was very quiet when we stayed so lacked atmosphere - I suspect would be very different in season. Nevertheless we were well looked after and had a wonderful breakfast the next morning - delicious overnight oats, cold cuts and baked goodies.

We ordered tea for four and was given one pot of tea which was expensive to start with The teapot had two teabags in for four people so I asked for a top up of hot water They had the nerve to charge me £1for hot water Absolutely ridiculous Would never go again as service was very brusque and not very friendly

The Slipway Port Issac is without doubt the one eatery in this beautiful harbour side village TO AVOID! We do enjoy our coffee and cake but the selection of cakes was very disappointing. We settled for two Oatmilk Lattes and two Muffins. The lattes were ok, nice and hot although the cups were a lot smaller than we are used to. The Muffins were very dry and tasteless and gave the impression of being bought from a Supermarket Budget line. Anyway we were on a mini break and determined to enjoy ourselves regardless. The best however was yet to come, The Bill, as follows: 2 latte. @ £4.80 = £9.60 2 Oatmilk @ £0.80 = £1.60 2 Muffins @ £4.00 = £8.00 TOTAL. £19.20 We were pretty disgusted at these prices more akin to London so we asked around the other eateries in Port Issac and they were all considerably cheaper and they were very apologetic that we should be charged so much saying that it reflected badly on them and did nothing to encourage people to return. So remember the name THE SLIPWAY, give it a miss!

The location is perfect. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The breakfast was first class. The staff were amazing. I cannot fault our experience here. The views from our room were amazing. This is one of the most beautiful places on earth and is made even better by staying at the slipway.

The hotel was really good, rooms were well set out, spotlessly clean and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of options and was well organised so you didn’t have to wait long. The other meals served in the restaurant were very good, good portions and at reasonable prices. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here (second time) and would definitely stay there again.

Welcoming and charming Air BnB, perfect location to the bottom Harbour and easily walkable to get around the rest of the town. Breakfast was delicious, and the owners were lovely. We will most definitely stay again next time we’re in England!
