Port Douglas Outrigger Holiday Apartments

We loved it there. Amanda and her husband were extremely accommodating and helpful. They arranged our river cruise with Lady Douglas which was amazing. Our 2 bedroom apartment was clean and comfortable. It was close to the marina, main beach, shops. We will definitely go back there!

Our family has just returned from yet another relaxing a 2 week stay at the Outrigger. It is perfectly located in a lovely quiet location, yet is less than a 10 minute walk to Four Mile Beach, the Marina and to Macrossan St. It goes without saying that Port Douglas is a great place to base yourself when heading out to explore the Daintree and Atherton Tablelands. The whole complex, as usual, was well maintained and our 2 bedroom apartment was spacious, bright, clean & very well equipped. There was a full size kitchen and bathroom (including a washer). There is also under cover parking available for guests. The Outrigger is a must stay location for families visiting Port. Our hosts, Peter and Amanda, were extremely friendly and welcoming and gave excellent advice on local attractions & on what was happening around town. Of course, they assisted in organising our transfers to and from Cairns which is a big plus for us. Like ourselves, it is no surprise to find that many of the guests are regulars, who return time and time again. This is a true testament of how well Peter and Amanda look after their guests, their attention to detail and how well they look after the Outrigger, it's grounds and facilities overall. We cannot thank them enough! It goes without saying that when next up in Port, we’ll again, be staying at the Outrigger. A real home away from home.

We absolutely loved our family break to Port Douglas staying at the Outrigger. We cannot recommend it highly enough. Amanda and Peter are the perfect hosts, they could not do enough to help us. They booked all our transfers from the airport and trips. All were fantastic. The pool was great and Amanda even appeared with toys for the girls to use during our stay. It is close to everything, the marina, the beach and all restaurants. The recommendation of the Tin Shed was great for a meal and drinks, it was just a shame it was a bit too cloudy for the sunset although the setting was lovely. We stayed in one of the penthouses which had everything we needed for our stay, all very well equipped. Thank you Amanda and Peter for making this a lovely family holiday. Rooms were great and in easy walking distance to everything in Port Douglas, including the Main Street, beach and marina. We especially loved the pool and spent many hours in there. A bonus was having you book our day trips - our low isles and Daintree visits were awesome. And recommendations for restaurants was very much appreciated. The Tin Shed was a fave. Overall, a getaway we will never forget (& will most likely return to!).

The Outrigger is perfectly positioned in a quieter street in Port Douglas. A short walk to supermaket, restaurants and the beach. Loved the pool. Our one bedroom apartment was well equipped with everything that you would need to make life easy. Amanda and Peter are wonderful hosts.

My husband and I recently spent a delightful week at the Outrigger. Our penthouse apartment was extremely comfortable and well-appointed, with a spacious balcony overlooking the pool. Our hosts were fantastic and extremely helpful. We enjoyed borrowing and swapping books from the bookshelf, and also the idea of using food items such as jam, butter and teabags left by other guest in the communal fridge, as well as leaving some of our own. This was very convenient and helped prevent waste. The property is located in a quiet area, just a short distance from the main beach, the marina and the town centre. We would certainly recommend The Outrigger to others.
