But was basic/minimalist in style The town of Popayan is an attractive "white town", but had little to hold our attention - we stayed two nights, and one night would have been better. There is not much option in eating dinner. We tried the Camino Real restaurant, which claimed to offer fine dining, but were disappointed There is not a great choice of hotels in Popayan, and because of its location and atmosphere, I would be happy to stay here again"

"Value for money. The hotel doesn't offer the amenities expected for the price. There's no air conditioning or fan, just a nightstand and a small TV with only Claro (a local cable channel), and no other amenities. Initially, we had a room facing the street, which was very noisy because it's on a main avenue. There are liquor stores across the street, and people drink in the street, making a lot of noise. Later, they moved us to an interior room, which was an improvement, though not completely silent. The breakfast is average. The staff is very attentive, friendly, and willing to help.
