Huella Canaria Complejo Las Olas

Sometimes on Gran C it can be hard to find the entrance to these gated complexes and sure enough I had this problem. So straight away a shout out to Pietro who answered my WhatsApp cry for help immediately and sent more precise instructions. The complex is absolutely fine, very clean, but dated. My heart did sink a bit upon entrance but everything was clean and comfortable and I soon forgot about it. Everything worked well from kitchen to WiFi to hot water and Pietro was super efficient and always cheerful and friendly. The pools are at the heart of the complex and it’s a delight to hear children playing all day. One pool may be heated but the largest one was goose pimply freeeezing. There is no way into the complex without a key so everything is very secure. It’s five minutes to the clifftop promenade and mere steps to supermarkets and restaurants. The complex is very quiet at night. One major drawback is accessibility. If you have any movement problems and are not on the ground floor then this is not the place for you. No lifts. Also the tiles used to pave the walkways are super slippery when it rains; I mean lethal. It’s like ice and I fell heavily once. (That’s just how I fall folks, but apart from bruises no harm done.) They have put anti slip strips on the steps but only the steps.
