Sehr lautes Hotel. Das Essen ist nicht gut. Der Strand ist sehr schmutzig.

The grounds and beach were beautiful, I really enjoyed how they kept the natural fauna within the villa area!
There buffet was good but didn’t offer any variety from day to day.

Wewanted a resort that was Child friendly but not overrun with screaming kids and water slides. I didn’t want a party scene either but have the ability to enjoy a margarita (or three) in a lovely resort with good vibes-
We are happy we gave the Reef a chance and it is by far the best we have experienced. I knew it was going to be great when I was greeted immediately by the staff and welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine -
resort is small if compared to places that need a golf cart to get to places fast or 6 poolsWhen you have a large resort you lose the feeling of intimacy or getting to know the property and the wonderful staff that work there. The property is clean and every day I woke to see both pools being cleaned and the grounds being maintained. The staff are helpful and very hard working and aim to please. Tipping is important I feel as it acknowledges their hard work and a little extra tip goes such a long way in Mexico -There is a jungle vibe and the vines and branches overhang the walkways which makes it feel more special and different. They have no plastic bottles but water (filtered) stations outside where you can fill your personal bottle and also the large water canister in your room
This is not a party resort although drinks at the swim up bar are fun and plentiful.The swim up bar closes at 6 and there is a bar at dinner where you can get what you need/ want.
Great swimming beach (safe) and food was abundant - highly recommend and my son (8) loved it

It was good for families but they need to limit children to the pool by the beach not sitting at the swim up bar. They also need 2 bartenders.

Good value for the money. Very walkable property among treed paths with a large cenote. 15 minute walk to 5th avenue. The main restaurant area for buffet dining is spectacular with an ocean view and some exterior tables. The service was hit and miss depending on the waiters. Overall we weren’t disappointed.

The Reef was amazing. The staff were all very friendly & the property is absolutely beautiful. The resort offers several activities and we took part in several. By far my favorite activity was the Mayan purification ritual. We went into a hut to sweat out all of our toxins. The woman who conducts the ritual, Rosa, is amazing. We also had a massage which was top tier. Highly recommend both of these things if youre looking to relax. The property is within walking distance of a pharmacy, starbucks, bar, shopping area, 24 hour doctor and about a 5 min cab ride to 5th street. We have already started to plan our return for next year. Side note; I went to Mexico for dental work that i couldn't afford in the USA. Sani Dental was amazing. They are affordable and very professional. Its also within a 5 min cab ride from the Reef resort.

Property was easily walkable end to end and had nice beach access. Had a mostly enjoyable stay.
Warning to those (just as other reviews), the concierge tries to get you to go to a timeshare pitch at their sister hotel.
As long as you don’t buy into that - should be a good time

We stayed for 4 nights with kids and family. It is very family friendly but not many activities for kids. We loved the clean beach and pool areas, as well as the property being small enough to be able to walk back and forth. Our favorite bar tender was Alberto, he took good care of us. He was amazing and went above and beyond during our stay.
The food was not great at all, not many selection and nothing great for kids to eat. It seemed old and reheated. The 2 restaurants they have serve very little food, we found ourselves going out of the hotel for dinner at times. The night entertainment is ok, not the best. The drinks are too sweet unless you ask for specific drinks to be made. No great liquor to choose from
Definitely a big downside with no good food and drinks when you're paying for all inclusive
