Tucked away on a quiet side street, the cottage is fully furnished and includes all kitchen wares, linens, towels and other necessities. The décor is comfortable and relaxed. A short drive away is the town of Southern Pines with its charming shops and the historic Sunrise Theater. Both Pinehurst and Southern pines are home to esteemed equestrian communities with rigorous event seasons. Enjoy a day at the Pinehurst Harness track, or time your visit to include the Stoneybrook Steeplechase. Also, both Pinehurst and Southern Pines offer large fitness centers: The First Health Center in Pinehurst, and Gold’s Gym in Southern Pines. In addition, each town supports a labyrinth of fitness greenways that spider out from beautiful public parks. Moore County is home to over 25 golf courses. The Pinehurst courses have played host to the US Open, the Ryder Cup Championship, the U.S. Amateur, and the PGA Championship. In 2014, Moore County will again host the U.S Open--both of them.
