Esperienza terribile con questo hotel ancor prima di poterne usufruire: Il giorno 15 febbraio 2023 abbiamo prenotato per telefono due camere per la notte tra il 17 ed il 18 febbraio (per esigenze lavorative). Tutto sembrava essere sotto controllo come concordato con il dipendente dell'hotel via telefono. Una volta giunti su loco (dopo ben 450km arrivando da Milano) il receptionist ci accoglie,in modo piuttosto sgarbato, dicendoci che dato che non erano riusciti a d effettuare la transazione, hanno cancellato la nostra prenotazione. Vi lascio immaginare il disappunto che si prova in una situazione del genere dopo 5 ore di macchina alle spalle. Il receptionist prosegue lavandosene le mani affermando: ”vi abbiamo avvisato per mail” cosa che non ci risulta (una chiamata sarebbe stata gradita), ma comunque la carta di credito ci è stata richiesta via telefono, quindi è alta la probabilità che il dipendente abbia sbagliato a digitare i dati, anche perché trattandosi di una carta aziendale senza limiti di spesa. Allora il receptionist ci ha proposto una soluzione in un loro ulteriore hote 3 stelle (invece che 4s), ma allo stesso prezzo. Proporre lo stesso prezzo per un servizio ridotto, dal mio punto di vista, vuol dire fregare le persone. Oltre che il danno in sé, in termini di vostra mancata organizzazione interna, l'essere stati presi in giro e trattati in maniera maleducata, fa sì che vi meritate il minimo possibile nella valutazione finale. Hier während einer Wanderung auf der Alta Via 4 durch die Dolomiten. Kann das Hotel nicht fehlen. Sehr freundlich, hilfsbereites Personal und gutes Essen - vor allem eine ausgezeichnete Wahl zum Frühstück. Gut für meine glutenfreie Allergie gepflegt.

Staff of the hotel were generally nice (except for an elderly gentleman of the hotel). I especially thank Francesca for getting me a quiet room. I liked drinking cocktails and food at the vistro of the hotel, especially when it was snowing outside, which made me have drinks at the vistro every night while I stayed at the hotel. Views from my room and the vistro were also very nice. Two ski lifts are just a few minute driving distance from the hotel.

On arrival our ski bus stopped at the bottom of a hill which Crystal say is a 7 min walk up to get to hotel. It isn’t. 2-3 mins at most. Check in was easy and pleasant. We were given room 111, yeah, small, dated furniture and a very tiny bathroom. However, everything was clean and tidy, room was warm, shower had plenty of near instant hot water. Breakfast was sufficient, pastries, fruit, toast, cereal, cold meat and cheese, scrambled egg and bacon, juice and hot drinks. No queues when we went down @ 8.30. Bar area a little disappointing, staff stretched and often no one to serve drinks. Also not many places to sit and a very cold draught when someone enters front. Evening meals were not to everyone’s taste but always found something. Menu chosen night before. Staff were very good and friendly, it was my wife’s birthday whilst there, cake organised, lights dimmed and all joined in with “happy birthday” many thanks. Would I stay here again? Yes we would, however, not with Crystal Ski, that’s a different review.

Geräumige Service-Wohnung in Cortina mit Küche, Wohnzimmer, Badezimmer und Schlafzimmer. Küche kommt mit allen notwendigen Kisten und Pannen zum Kochen. Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe eines Supermarktes, wodurch es bequem ist, die Gemüse zu erhalten, die wir für die Küche benötigen. Die Zimmerausstattung war leicht alternd, obwohl es sauber und gut gepflegt. Das Hotel liegt etwas weit vom Busterminal Cortina entfernt und es brauchte, um dort zu kommen, um unsere Taschen für etwa 10 Minuten auf einen Fußweg zu schlagen.

Cortina is sort of the heart of the Dolomites (site of the '56 winter Olympics and the upcoming 2026 winter olympics) thus Hotel des Alpes is a beautiful little town and ideal location for exploring these breathtaking mountains and lakes. It is located on the main road north of the town with parking on one side and the hotel on the other. The staff was helpful with finalizing plans for where to visit nearby with realistic with the time available. There is a nice sitting area just off the lobby with bar service, a pleasant dining area that is used for dinner and breakfast bar, and beautiful views from the room and restaurant. Would definitely return if we get the chance to spend more time in the Dolomites.
