Villa Louise Hue Beach Boutique Hotel

We did a day trip here while visiting Hue as it was only a 30 drive from the city and it exceeded our expectations! The facilities were brilliant. The staff were lovely. Right on the beach so you had options to have a pool or beach day. The food and drinks were delicious. Highly recommend if you visiting Hue!

Approx 30 minutes in a taxi from the centre of Hue. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The standard of decor, fixtures and fittings was as per rating, poor. We chose the “ancient Hue” ocean view villa and based on our experience, we reckon that we paid twice as much as it should have rightly been. I got a minor electric shock unplugging one of the lights and noticed that the wire was loose. Most of the electric sockets in the room were faulty. The beds were very comfy and a highlight of the stay. The food in the restaurant was ok-ish but we were repeatedly served warm cans of beer with a bowl of ice to apparently scoop into the beer to cool it and water it down! I asked for cold beer but apparently not available. In summary, extremely expensive for what’s on offer. In the main, tired, peeling paint, potentially dangerous electrics and just too far off the beaten track, too expensive and too dated to merit a repeat stay.

Just returned from our first visit to Villa Louise Hue. Excellent, charming right-on-the-beach location with very helpful staff. Perfect place for a relaxing beach holiday plus they have a nice outdoor & a nice indoor pool. Breakfast from the a la carte menu is excellent (no buffet); lunch & dinner also very good at both the hotel restaurant & the beach bar which is run by Villa Louise. The sites in Hue town (Imperial City, Citadel, temples...) @30 minutes by taxi; airport is 40 minutes away. Wonderful stay.

The first point was this place is extremely hard to find. There are no signs off the main road and it’s not correct on Google so our taxis kept getting lost. The first time we arrived we ended up walking 20 mins on the beach with our luggage. The next point is you have to check in at the front desk where the cars enter which is very dated and far away. It looked so bad we thought we were at the wrong resort, this arrival experience caused us stress and was not a good start. The customer service was great, the food was incredible so this made up for the other points. The worst part is we paid a lot of money to use their laundry service and unfortunately everything shrunk. I’m guessing they were washed on 60 degrees. This was annoying as we have limited clothing with us and some of these items were vintage and had sentimental value.

A wonderful escape destination. We were upgraded into a wonderful villa overlooking the sea. With only a portion of the rooms open again it was quiet and very peaceful at the resort. Service was wonderful as were the meals we had. The resort is quite isolated so the options are to travel or to eat in which we chose without disappointment. Staff very helpful and friendly. A great quiet escape for us. Thank you

Very nice resort, I love the design of the resort, a harmonious beauty between Vietnamese traditional features and the romantic style of French architecture. This is a great place to get away for weekend. We came to this place in a rainy day and couldn't enjoy the beach much but we enjoyed the resort with nice swiming pools. I love the real croissants made by French chef. The staff and owner are very friendly. I recommended this place for my friends and love to come back in sunny days
