Ancient Hue Garden Houses

Sehr entspannender Ort! Ich hatte ursprünglich vor, die Königsgräber zu besuchen, als ich nach Hue kam, aber ich wusste nicht, dass das Hotel so entspannend ist ... Ich gab die Reise auf und genoss das Spa und das Essen im Hotel! Wenn Sie mich fragen, ob ich das nächste Mal wieder hier übernachten möchte, wäre ich dazu auf jeden Fall bereit.

Ancient Hue Gardens is the most picturesque boutique hotels I stayed at in Vietnam. The rooms are in a historical style with well appointed furniture and settings but with modern conveniences like outlets and TV with streaming and a classy bathroom suite. It's not only Instagram worthy but also a great boutique hotel to stay at on its own merits. The staff friendliness far exceeded any other hotel I stayed at. For example, our check in host showed us around the entire room and reach amenity and when we wanted to book the spa he personally came to our suite to ask our time preference and make the booking for us. The food is excellent with a variety of choices. In fact, this property became initially known for its food, both French and Vietnamese traditional, even though the villas are such a unique find. It's definitely the perfect vibe if you come to Hue for the historical scenery and sites and the unique food of the region. Cleanliness was perfect with turndown service at night. I would make Hue a permanent fixture in my future Vietnam trips for this hotel alone.

We had an amazing stay here as a family and really enjoyed the imperial garden villas. Great quite place to really enjoy and experience Hue. Highly recommend!!!!!! The staff is amazing, the room was spectacular and the beds were comfy. There are also French colonial villas here as well if you want a different feel.

Excellent hotel, very professional team, great quality of service, really tasty and fresh food and drinks, excellent spa service nice location near city center Nice pool and jacuzzi. Impressive architecture and authentic atmosphere. Rooms comfortable and very clean with all amenities

Highlight of my trip in Hue! It has kind of home-away-home feeling, big thanks to the fantastic service of all staff, from the friendly guy in front desk to the welcoming staff in the restaurant! The "villa" may not be that kind of big villa with 3 rooms, still be a spacious one with a balcony, the room has the nostalgic decoration and bright sunlight, absolutely great place for vacation. Restaurant is another delighted highlight. It may be a bit pricey in Hue, it worth, dinner is yummy and the breakfast offers a variety of Western and local Vietnam cuisine to choose, the quality is excellent! Not to mention the comfort pool with Jacuzzi, good time to chill and facing with the garden. A must-choice in Hue.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, even I am just a tourist guide coming here waiting for my customers :) thank you! Especially two ladies serving the breakfast, it's a nice and tranquil place to stay when you come to Hue THANK YOU

We had high expectations as this was a much rated hotel. To give the positives first - great restaurant staff in both restaurants. Lively housekeeping staff and guards at the entrance. Reception - not so good. ‘It properly trained to manage guests requests. Wasn’t helpful with information nor clarity in services. We rented scooters for 3 of us and took them at 1600 when we first arrived. Every time we returned to the hotel, we have the keys to the guards. This is what we did when we finished using the scooters 24 hours later and rhanked the guards telling them we were done as we’d be staying in your chill before checking out the next day. So they wanted to charge us for another day for the scooters - they never told us we had to give the keys back to reception because we collected them from the guards. The Receptionists also agressively asked where was the pen which was in the room. Most hotels expect you to take their pens but on this occasion, we had no idea where it was. I was so mad I left three of my biros for them to use. They wanted to charge us for the pen. This is not to mention that my AirPods which were in the room went missing. The Spa was OK. I added an hour yo my free 30 minute session and when asked to rate, I marked GOOD as it was just that. They asked me to change that to excellent which irritated me and I declined because it wasn’t excellent! Not well trained in etiquette. There are choices of hotels in Hue. Never gain will we stay here. Very disappointing.

This place is incredibly beautiful (even more so than on the photos). There are only a handful of rooms/ villas - so book early! For a longer itinerary, even a one night stay does the job - as Hue’s landmarks make a one-day trip or two half-day trips (Mausoleums, Citadel + Pagoda). But in this place, I would recommend a 2-night stay to enjoy its beauty and tranquility (especially if you need a breather in an otherwise packed itinerary). Combine with a drive to Hoi An/ Da Nang. The restaurant is famous for its Vietnamese cuisine. Vegetarians and vegans will find suitable options to choose from.

We are a family of four (children 13 + 15 years), who were on a three week trip throughout Vietnam. Without doubt the best place we stayed in Vietnam - the staff were incredibly attentive and made sure that we had a great trip in Hue, and the hotel is beautiful. We stayed in the incredibly beautiful Garden House next to the main pool - without doubt the most beautiful hotel room(s) that we have ever stayed in. The food in the restaurant was great....although very quiet (not many people) on the evening we ate there. Only one request...please get new guest bikes....they have seen better days. If you are thinking about going to Hue we cannot recommend this place enough. Well done the Ancient Hue staff!
