Homestay Coco Island

Die Unterkunft war für internationale Gäste völlig ungeeignet: Das Personal sprach kein Englisch, es handelte sich eher um eine Touristenattraktion als um ein Hotel (mit dürftig in winzigen Aquarien gehaltenen Tieren), und die Zimmer waren extrem laut, da sie direkt am Mekong lagen und ständig Boote vorbeifuhren. Die Unterkunft war nur über eine gefährliche Straße mit dem Motorrad erreichbar. Wir sind nicht dort geblieben und haben unsere Reservierung für zwei Nächte storniert!

We stayed at Coco Island with our family for a short eco trip. We wanted somewhere quiet, green and close to nature, and this was a good choice for us. The place is simple but nice. There are lots of coconut trees, plants and the river is right next to the property. Our kids really enjoyed being outside, walking around and watching the boats. It was nice to see them spending less time on their phones. The room was clean and comfortable. It wasn't fancy, but it had everything we needed for a short stay. The air conditioning worked well and the room was cool after being outside. During the day, we explored Con Phung, walked around, tried local food and visited some of the attractions. The kids had a lot of fun crossing the coconut bridge. We also had fresh coconut water, which was probably everyone's favorite. The staff were friendly and helpful. They showed us around and helped when we had questions. Sometimes communication was a little difficult, but everyone was very nice and patient. For us, the value was good. We weren't looking for a luxury resort. For the price, we got a clean room, a nice natural environment and access to a lot of things to see and do around Con Phung. Being able to stay right in the middle of the green surroundings was worth it for our family. Our favorite part was actually just sitting by the river in the evening. The kids played nearby while we talked and watched the boats go by. Nothing fancy, but it was relaxing and exactly what we needed. Our tip: If you're coming with family, stay at least one night. Bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen and insect repellent. Don't try to do too much in one day. Take your time, walk around, try the local food and enjoy the nature. For a simple family eco getaway, we thought Coco Island was good value and we would happily come back.

I came to Coco Island with one of my friends for a short trip. We had been in Ho Chi Minh City for a few days and wanted to get away from the busy city for a bit. We only stayed one night, but we really enjoyed it. The place is very green and peaceful. There are lots of coconut trees and the river is right next to the property. We spent the afternoon walking around, taking pictures and trying some local food. We also explored Con Phung and went across the coconut bridge. It was actually really fun, and of course we took way too many photos there. 😂 We also had fresh coconut water, which was perfect because it was very hot that day. Our room was simple but clean. The air conditioning was good and the bed was comfortable. We didn't have any problems during our stay.

The kids were still sleepy, so we had some coffee and just enjoyed the view. The staff were friendly and helpful. Some communication was a little difficult because of the language, but they always tried to help us and we had no problem during our stay. This is not a fancy luxury hotel, so don’t expect that. We liked it because it felt more simple and local. It was a nice change from staying in busy cities. Our tip: If you are traveling with kids, stay at least one night. Don’t try to see everything in a few hours. Take your time, walk around, try the local food and spend some time by the river. The kids enjoyed it much more than we expected. We would be happy to come back if we visit the Mekong Delta again.

Mình vừa có chuyến nghỉ 2 ngày 1 đêm tại Homestay Coco Island ở Cồn Phụng và cảm giác đầu tiên là mọi thứ rất khác với nhịp sống hối hả ở thành phố. Vừa bước vào khuôn viên đã thấy rất nhiều cây xanh, tiếng chim hót và gió từ sông thổi vào mát rượi. Không gian khá yên tĩnh, không có cảm giác đông đúc hay ồn ào như nhiều điểm du lịch khác. Phòng mình ở sạch sẽ, gọn gàng và đầy đủ tiện nghi. Điều mình thích nhất là buổi sáng chỉ cần mở cửa là có thể ngắm khu vườn xanh mướt, nghe tiếng lá cây xào xạc và hít thở bầu không khí rất trong lành. Lâu lắm rồi mình mới có cảm giác ngủ ngon như vậy. Buổi chiều mình đi dạo quanh khu du lịch, chụp hình ở cầu dừa, tham quan các điểm trong Cồn Phụng rồi quay về homestay ăn tối. Đồ ăn mang hương vị miền Tây, nêm nếm vừa miệng, đặc biệt món cá tai tượng chiên xù và gỏi củ hủ dừa rất ngon. Điều làm mình ấn tượng nhất là sự thân thiện của nhân viên. Mọi người luôn chủ động hỏi han, hướng dẫn nhiệt tình và giới thiệu những địa điểm nên ghé trong khu. Mình cảm nhận được sự chân thành chứ không phải kiểu phục vụ máy móc. Nếu ai đang tìm một nơi để nghỉ cuối tuần cùng gia đình hoặc muốn "đổi gió" sau những ngày làm việc căng thẳng thì mình nghĩ Coco Island là một lựa chọn rất đáng cân nhắc.

Lần đầu đến Cồn Phụng và chọn Coco Island. Điều mình thích nhất là sáng mở cửa đã thấy sông, không khí cực kỳ trong lành. Đúng kiểu nghỉ dưỡng để quên hết công việc.
