Lavender Muine Hotel

***BEWARE*** If I could give this hotel 0 star rating, I would. We booked for three nights through ***********. When we arrived, there was a fish tank full of mouldy water in the reception, which should have been a sign. The receptionist, took one of our passports and left it in an unlocked drawer as insurance, which we felt uneasy about. He then showed us to our room, on the way, the hotel looked like a building site, with doors and wires hanging everywhere. Once in the 'apartment', which he actually told us we had been upgraded to, there was mould and damp up each wall and all over the ceiling. The paint was peeling off the walls due to the damp. The tv stand was collapsed at one side due to the rotten wood. We stayed one night due to us arriving in the area late at night. In the morning, we discovered bugs and insects all over the bed and the walls. We decided we didn't want to stay the remaining two nights and tried to check out, offering the money for the first night. The receptionist told us this wasn't acceptable and we had to pay the full price and take the issue up with ***********. We went on to show him him the room and he agreed it was unacceptable, but only after telling us we should have informed the cleaner first. After some argument, he did agree to take the one nights payment and returned the passport. Please stay clear of this hotel. It should not be allowed on any hotel sites.
