Die Eincheckung war reibungslos. Der Empfangsmann war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist eine sehr gute Lage, entfernt von der Hügel und Büsten des Stadtzentrums, aber sehr nah zu pop in und aus, wenn es nötig. Insgesamt hatten wir eine tolle Zeit im Holiday Inn Peterborough. Ich würde es jeden Tag empfehlen.

We booked a double room for a night and on arrival was pleasantly surprised to be given a suite. Our expectations were not huge but we were happy. The room was huge with a very large bed 2 sofas a chaise longue a double shower (never seen one of them before ) and a jacuzzi bath. We tried out the bath and it was fab except after a while what looked like algae came out of the jets. My partner said the shower was amazing. Now we were given a bigger than expected room so I do not really want to complain except if someone was to actually book this room it did not come with a coffee machine or docking station as advertised and the TV did not work. But We did not mind. Only real issue for us was that the pillows were rock hard. FYI parking is not free and breakfast is £8.99 and check out is 11am which is great. All in all we are happy because we stayed in a bigger than expected room. The whole hotel is old and creaky but ok for somewhere to sleep for a night.

Es ist etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Bahnhof entfernt. Der Vordertisch gentleman war sehr willkommen und hilfreich. Ich kam um Mittag vor der offiziellen Eincheckung und er bot einen frühen Eincheck ohne Probleme an.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, room was perfect, visual impairment awareness was spot on

Das Hotelzimmer ist gut, das Badezimmer ist auch groß, das Gehäuse ist ein bisschen alt, ein wenig schlecht, gut, die Etage ist nicht hoch, weil es einen Gepäckkasten auf den Stock halten muss. Die geografische Lage ist gut, es liegt nur einen Fußweg vom Bahnhof und dem Zentrum entfernt, außerdem gibt es kein Restaurant, sodass das Hotel, wenn es Frühstück benötigt, einfaches Frühstück ins Zimmer schicken wird.

The Newark is a budget hotel about a mile from Peterborough city centre, so it may not be ideal for tourists (it's popular with forwarders, construction workers and such). But you can easily reach it by bus (lines 5, 5a) from the centre. The hotel was still being refurbished when I arrived, and my en-suite double was certainly modern and clean. The bathroom facilities I found to be excellent, except there was no rag for the towels to dry, and the bathroom door didn't have a cylinder (yet?). The shower was big (no curtain or door though), and the water pressure adequate (not a given in budget hotels). The bed was comfy, and there was enough storage for my clothes and stuff. A 32” flat-screen Tv was provided, with a remote. Free Wifi was available, too. I really wish they would have provided a toilet brush though! Early check-in went smoothly (direct email contact with the hotel was excellent), don't be put off by the gloomy-looking reception area. There's a very basically furnished garden to the back where you can hang out. The room service was a bit spotty, but I really didn't need it every day anyway. ;)

We would never stay here again the staff were so rude there was a lady manager the was so so rude. Also there was a constant beeping noise out side our room. And about 2am in the morning whilst we were sleeping someone from reception called the room phone and said that the smoke alarm in our room was going off due to someone smoking in the room. Both me and my partner are non smokers so it clearly wasn’t use. Worst hotel experience ever.

We stayed here 2 nights from the 29th October. Everything about this place was very good. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was ver y clean and comfortable good nights sleep. The breakfast was really good with enough choice. If you wanted you could take good away little Brown bags provided. Even at evening time girl at reception told me to help myself to an not chocolate from the machine which was really good. We certainly would stay at any Holiday Inn express again. Ich habe ein Wohltätigkeitsgericht und Zimmer bis zu 90 im Großen Hall organisiert. Die Lage ist schön, und das Hotel ist sauber und gut vorgestellt. Alles Personal, das ich während der Buchung, die Regelungen und die Veranstaltung selbst getroffen hatte, waren außergewöhnlich. Die Hotels waren immer freundlich, professionell und konnten nicht genug tun, um zu helfen. Der Abend ging sehr gut mit fantastischen Feedback auf das Hotel, das Essen und auch das Personal von allen, die anwesend waren. Wenn Sie eine Lage suchen, um eine Veranstaltung zu organisieren, suchen Sie nicht weiter.
