"The Baoju hotel is located near the middle of town within a short driving distance to the Kumtag desert facilities. The staff were very friendly. Although they could not speak English, they made every good effort to meet all of our needs. The hotel is located in a strip of small businesses and restaurants. It even is directly attached to a convenience store so you don’t need to leave the building for those small necessities. Our stay was pleasant and restful."

"Das Zimmer ist sauber und ordentlich, sobald ich rein bin, gibt es ein sehr komfortabeles Gefühl. Das Bad ist sehr vollständig, es ist einmalig und sehr zufrieden. Die Lage des Hotels ist besonders bequem, es gibt einen Frühstücksbutik unten, eine reichhaltige Art von Selbsthilfe und eine Vielzahl von Süßigkeiten. Es gibt auch vieles, was in der Umgebung gegessen wird. Es ist sehr nah an den Hochbahnhöfen und den Landschaftsräumen, und es ist völlig unnötig, sich Sorgen zu machen, dass die Reise wegen des Verkehrs verzögert wird. Zusammenfassend ist es eine sehr zufriedenstellende Unterkunftserfahrung. Es ist empfehlenswert!"

"Shanshan is a small town and if you do come here, it would be to visit the Kumtaq desert. The desert is 15-20 minutes from the hotel, so is the Shanshanbei railway station. I recommend this hotel because of the service of the front desk staff, Ms Xiaoba who goes above and beyond to help. She was responsive on wechat and organised a car to pick us up, she willingly booked a taxi for as we couldn’t find the address to the night market on our DIDI app., she provided extra water and answered any questions with a smile. This is a new hotel so looks clean and fresh with a smart toilet. They even have tents/ tepees so if you have a kid, this is a welcome. I saw a room with spiderman and Barbie princess theme too. The breakfast has many Chinese options and they are well cooked and delicious. They do have a coffee machine. I’d stay here again if I were to revisit. Kumtaq Desert is worth a visit and the second golf cart/sightseeing mini bus drives you right to the end and brings you back to the second station. The other deserts we visited didn’t have this. Small town, big heart, great service, amazing people! VA"

"We booked on short notice ten minutes before arrival and were absolutely surprised. Despite the language barrier the team of receptionists went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are very spacious, spotlessly clean and have all the amenities one needs for a pleasant stay, and more. We slept very well in the new, comfortable beds. The bathroom itself is bigger than some hotel rooms elsewhere. The real highlight though was the complimentary breakfast we, were offered. Plenty of great food to choose from, coffee and tea. Upon checkout we could store our luggage for free until our train departed. All in all, great value for money and we'd definitely stay again."

"Die Lage ist hervorragend, mit zahlreichen Restaurants, Supermärkten und sogar einem Markt in der Nähe. Das Zimmer war geräumig und hell, mit ausreichender Klimaanlage und einem großen Badezimmer. Es gab Kleiderbügel und einen Wäscheständer, was das Waschen sehr praktisch machte. Es war außerdem sehr erschwinglich, und die Gastgeberin hat unser Zimmer sogar aufgewertet, sodass es ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für einen Zwischenstopp war."
