"Vor dem Buch, frag die Eigentümer, ob Bau-/Bauarbeiten im Gegenteil abgeschlossen sind. Zugstation wird aktualisiert, so dass es sehr laut von schweren Maschinen von ca. 07:00 bis ziemlich spät in der Nacht. Wir wurden nur von den Besitzern informiert , nachdem wir bucht und voll bezahlt hatten, was vielleicht den Menschen sagen sollten, bevor sie buchen, Glücklicherweise waren wir nur für 2 Nächte da. Der Lärm der Züge und Autos auf der Straße außerhalb kann klar vernommen werden, vor allem, da die Balkontür nicht geschlossen ist."

"Excellent location directly above the train station (not noisy) and a few blocks walk to the lake, shopping, restaurants, bars, the ferry etc. This lodging location is nearly brand new, very modern, with an excellent kitchen area, full refrigerator and other kitchen appliances, an outdoor patio right off the living room that has views of the lake, surrounding mountains, the activity at the train station, etc. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful at the last minute when our intended lodging location fell through. The cost here is also reasonable considering that you're at Lake Como with all of the amenities provided here. [There is not laundry.] I've stayed in Varenna before at Villa Monastero which is beautiful with its gardens and on-the-lake location. Residenze Decimina is a much more modern place, about the same walking distance to most of the places you'll visit in town, but at a much more reasonable cost. No gardens, of course, but still a very good option for a place to stay in the Varenna / Lake Como area. I would absolutely stay here again when I return."
