My wife and I were so fortunate to have found this little gem. Corporate Hoteliers pls note, take a page out of Kathryn & Richard’s book, you could learn how excellent hospitality should be provided! Will certainly be returning again soon. B

I’m so pleased I found this luxury B&B in Wales! It was my first trip to the Cardigan Bay area and it did not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed my mini-break with my elderly dog. A big thanks to Kathryn and Richard who are lovely hosts, super friendly and very helpful! The breakfast was delicious with both gluten-free and dairy-free options. Thank you! The suite was clean and very comfortable with a good size gated outdoor patio. Inside was a cosy sitting area, a small kitchenette and a really comfy large bed! The grounds are gorgeous (!!) and well maintained. We took multiple strolls around it. It was a very peaceful and quiet break - exactly what was needed.

As always we had a great stay - with wonderful and friendly hosts , very good breakfast , surroundings and suite . Will definitely come again as soon as possible. The gardens were again well maintained and really peaceful to spend time in and near .

We recently enjoyed five lovely, relaxing days at Penbontbren Bed and Breakfast. Our accommodation, the garden suite, was incredibly comfortable and spacious, with ample room for ourselves and our two big dogs. A well stocked mini bar and snacks, were a lovely surprize after a long drive, and the private patio the ideal location to relax and unwind. The grounds are amazing and impeccably well kept, with native flora blending almost seamlessly into manicured lawns. Breakfast consontists of quite a variety of options, all naturally sourced from local vendors. Richard and Kathryn are the consumate hosts; and the attention to detail and comfort of the suites are well deserving of the 5 star accolade. We will definitely be returning later this year to enjoy more of Penbontbren's hospitality.

We really enjoyed our stay. Kathryn and Richard are excellent hosts, very friendly and gave us lots of helpful info about the area. Bedroom suite spotless and very comfortable. Quiet peaceful location, just perfect! Highly recommended.

Richard and Kathryn were warm and welcoming hosts. The accommodations were excellent: roomy, nicely decorated, and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts in the charming breakfast room were also excellent, including a nice array of cold cereals, yogurt, etc., and a choice of hot plates as well. One of the nicest B&Bs we’ve stayed in!

I cannot praise Kathryn and Richard too highly for Pentbontbren. The suites are fabulous, beautifully furnished and equipped to the highest standards. The provision of the crockery, cutlery and microwave are a very thoughtful edition. The breakfasts were superb. We shall most definitely be back.

Six of us visiting Wales for the first time. We found Penbontbren on a search for somewhere near Cardigan. What a find, This is a really lovely place to stay a few miles inland from the coast, we were there for two nights. All the rooms are suites so you get a sitting room, bedroom and a small kitchen area. Kathryn and Richard could not have been nicer, kinder or more helpful. After a bit of a disastrous stay in North Wales we were up for something a lot better and this absolutely hit the spot. It’s a lovely peaceful set up and we defy anyone not to be happy here, especially after those delicious breakfasts! We all loved Penbontbren!
