This property has various stay options such as delux rooms, villas, tents etc. I stayed in the villa. It was a 2BHK villa with sunrise view from the bedroom. OMG!! I never saw sunrise from the mountains with this ease. It was just amazing!! One of the best sunset I saw in the mountains. The location of the villa gives it advantage to get the most stunning views from Gumkhal. Got a stunning view of the Himalayas, sunset, sunrise, star studded sky, halo. I staff was friendly and hospitable. Loved the food and hospitality. Glass walls in villa and glass room made me feel so connected to nature even when I was indoors, I loved the integration. Dr. Yash, owner of the resort is gem of a person and doing a lot for the upliftment of locals in the village. Such as there are organic products from the locals available in the resort such as A2 ghee, turmeric which are used in food preps and also available for sale. Educational programmers for children, clinical studies for local herbs etc. It was an amazing place to be!! Whenever you plan your next vacation to Lansdowne do try out this place.

We visited this resort in June 2023. It is away from the main Rishikesh city, so it takes a little more time to reach this place. One also has to trek down the hills and cross a bridge over the river to arrive at the destination, but that's the beauty of this resort. Its location, the sweet stream that flows in front, the green trees, gardens, and the beautiful birds around all conjure up to make the experience extremely delightful and serene. The hotel does not have many luxurious facilities, yet we had a very comfortable stay there. The food, the staff, and the Hotel in charge were extremely polite and caring toward our needs. The resort also has a lot of fun activities to engage in for both adults and children like pooling, carrom, table tennis, swings attached to the trees, and indoor as well as outdoor games. One can never feel bored here, even if one wishes to do nothing. It also rained during our stay which just added to the heavenly beauty which we experienced here. We spent most of the time at the resort, it was truly worth it. I have been to the main Rishikesh city many times, but this place was a 'different Rishikesh' which I witnessed. Being religious, we as a family decided to engage ourselves in 'Ganga Pooja' on one of the days, which was very peaceful and calming. Would like to especially mention that a 'Sundar thali' was arranged for us by the hotel staff for the Pujan. Thank you Aranyam, once again for the warm hospitality and soul-stirring experience. p.s. The drive to the resort is approximately 60 km on hilly terrain, so a skilled and calm driver is necessary. Additionally, there are no petrol pumps or medical shops after Kotdwara, so be prepared. The drive can be tricky for those with altitude sickness, but we had a pleasant experience. The last 3.5 km stretch towards the resort is full of adventure, with a poorly built hill road and numerous turns that add to the excitement. Upon arrival, we found a decent parking area and a nice reception, where we were served water and a cold black drink. However, I was expecting more options for welcome drinks. The room allotment process took only 10 minutes, and we were assigned room number 115 for the next two days. As we arrived at 2:30 pm, the hotel management requested that we go directly to the restaurant, as lunch serving time was from 1:30 pm to 3 pm. Lunch was a little boring with simple food and a disappointing dessert. The swimming pool and sports facilities inside the resort were average and nothing noteworthy. In the evening, the management organized a magic show for kids and a live music show for everyone, but surprisingly, they didn't serve evening tea. Dinner was served from 8 pm to 10 pm, and once again, it was below average. I would not rate it more than 2/5 for food quality. The next day, after an average breakfast, we left for the waterfall, which was about 8-9 km from the resort. After parking our car on the roadside, we did a 1.5 km hill trek and reached the waterfall in 25 minutes. The entire waterfall experience took two hours, and it was worth the visit. We returned to Vanvas Resort at 2:30 pm and went straight to lunch, which, once again, was average. The evening was full of music and dance, followed by an average dinner. Overall, Vanvas Resort is worth visiting once, especially for large family groups. The price point should not exceed 6K per night, and one should not expect good food throughout the journey. Based on my experience, I would rate Vanvas Resort 2.5/5.
