Hotel Montecallini - Adult Only 14

We cycled 80 km in 30 degrees heat. The short but steep hill up to the hotel took the last energy out of us. Wonderful to check into a nice and clean hotel room. After a shower a looong relax at the nice outdoor pool. Very good and rich continental breakfast. Easy to store our bicycles over the night.

We stayed for a week at Hotel Montecallini and cannot recommend this place highly enough. It was a great location to base ourselves and explore the Lecce province of Puglia - hire car (or scooter) is a must in this location. The hotel is spotless, well maintained and big enough to provide what you need but small enough to be friendly, welcoming and cosy. The room we had was perfect and clean, everything worked and was routinely serviced each day by lovely, friendly staff. The pool and grounds were fabulous and we enjoyed hanging around the hotel as much as we enjoyed our trips out and exploring. But what really makes this adults only hotel special are the exceptional staff, who really go out of their way to make you feel at home, ensure you have everything you need and seem really pleased to offer recommendations or help with local restaurant and hire car booking. The reception team are particularly impressive and especially Giulio, such a warm, caring and friendly host who - despite being busy - always found time to help. Highly recommended if you’re staying in Puglia!

This is the second stay at the Hotel Montecallini, and it has been renovated without losing its origins and its connection with the territory. The well-trained staff is ready to satisfy all the guests' needs with courtesy and kindness. Whether it is for check-in, or for the breakfast, or for any other need, they always welcome with a smile, ready to help and give any advice. The room, with its balcony, was wide clean and comfortable. The bathroom offers high quality bath products and soft towels. In the room there are many home automation systems that control all the lights and the cooling system. Just a suggestion: check the energy management so that when the electronic key is removed, all the devices are switched off (except the fridge). Breakfast offers a wide selection of homemade cakes, coffee machines, fresh fruit (varies daily), and salty hot food. The croissants, which can be filled with a variety of creams at the moment, are particularly good. The pool is well equipped with comfortable sun loungers and towels. Interesting is the possibility to book the private Jacuzzi which offers a high level of privacy and relaxation.

A Beautiful and impeccably clean hotel. We enjoyed our 4 nights stay here. The rooms and well maintained, they are comfortable , light, airy and very clean. The service is excellent and staff are very friendly, professional and helpful. As everyone else says the breakfast here is amazing. All fresh local produce , we couldn’t help but to have seconds. The pool area is nice and quiet, and very relaxing. The hotel is close to the beach and several very nice restaurants. I highly recommend staying here. It’s excellent value for money. We would definitely return!!

Sono appena rientrato dalle ferie trascorse nel Salento, ma desidero fare subito non una recensione, perché non ho l'arroganza di giudicare alcuno, ma commentare la permanenza mia e di mia moglie presso l'hotel Montecallini di Patu. È un hotel a 4 stelle a gestione familiare distante dalla spiaggia di San Gregorio circa 500 mt. È leggermente in collina; cosa che permette una buona vista del mare cristallino di San Gregorio. La struttura dovrebbe avere circa venti anni e si trova all' interno di una area verde. È un hotel che è continuamente oggetto di aggiornamenti per migliorarne l'ospitalità. In tutte le ampie camere vi è il trionfo della domotica per la gestione dei servizi. Aria condizionata ovunque ed ascensore a tutti i piani senza alcun ostacolo per i disabili. Nel giardino antistante vi è una ampia piscina munita di due postazioni per idromassaggio circondata da un prato attrezzato con numerosi lettini. L'ampio parcheggio è tra gli alberi di ulivo e carrube nella zona retrostante l'hotel. L'ospitalità della struttura è davvero top a partire dalla reception fino ad arrivare al personale addetto alle pulizie passando da quello al servizio al tavolo. Chiara, Serena, Odette e Giulio e tutti gli altri, sono sempre a totale disposizione degli ospiti fornendo ogni tipo di consulenza, sollevando da ogni problema di prenotazione di barche, spiagge, ristoranti o altro il tutto con grande cortesia e sempre con un sorriso. Confesso che ne ho approfittato a piene mani. Il ristorante, pur non avendo un vasto menù, presenta piatti di alto livello accompagnati da una fornita cantina. Concludo parlando poi di colei che è a capo di tutto..... la signora Cinzia. Vive per l'hotel, fa sì che gli ospiti si sentano a casa propria. Consiglia insieme al suo staff ogni momento della villeggiatura. Nel Salento conosce tutti ed è conosciuta e rispettata da tutti per la sua correttezza. Ho avuto modo di raccogliere numerosi apprezzamenti da vari suoi fornitori o conoscenti. È fiera della sua terra fa di tutto per promuoverla. Per concludere, anche se potrei benissimo dilungarmi su altri positivi aspetti, consiglio assolutamente la struttura del Montecallini Hotel. Noi ci ritorneremo di sicuro per la quarta volta.
