Dieses Hotel ist vielleicht nicht ein luxuriöses Fünf-Sterne-Eigentum, aber für seine Kategorie ist es sicherlich eines der besten Orte, wo man sich aufhalten kann. Die Zimmer waren sauber, gut gepflegt und alle Geräte funktionierten ordnungsgemäß, was den Aufenthalt komfortable und problemfrei machte. Die Lage ist auch sehr bequem, da es nur einen Spaziergang zum Pryce Tower und nahe gelegene Einrichtungen. Ein Punkt ist, dass das Hotel keinen Aufzug hat, also wenn Ihr Zimmer auf den oberen Etagen ist, warten Sie auf ein wenig Übung. Sie dienen auch nicht vollen Mahlzeiten, aber sie bieten kostenlose Kaffee und Brot im Lobby. Glücklicherweise gibt es in der Nähe viele Restaurants und Lebensmittelspots, so dass es sehr einfach ist etwas zu essen zu finden.

Die Lage ist gut. Direkt neben dem People's Park, wo die Einheimischen gerne spazieren gehen. Das Hotel ist zwar etwas älter, aber die Zimmer sind geräumig. Gleich nebenan befindet sich das sehr gute spanische Restaurant Wobbly Pan Spanish Bistro. Insgesamt hatte ich einen angenehmen Aufenthalt.

From the moment we arrived at Dusit Thani Residence Davao, we felt welcomed and well-taken care of. The lobby, though modest in size, exuded a calm charm and the check-in process was smooth. We were greeted warmly by staff who treated us with genuine hospitality — their attentiveness set the tone for our entire stay. Many previous guests also praised the staff’s politeness and readiness to help.  We stayed in a studio apartment, and it was nothing short of comfortable. The room came with a kitchenette, a coffee/tea maker, minibar, and free WiFi — extremely convenient whether you’re staying briefly or planning a longer stay.  The modern fittings and thoughtful layout made it easy to relax or be productive: there was enough space to move around, and everything was clean and well-kept. Cleanliness, indeed, stood out during our stay — a point frequently echoed by other guests.  One of the highlights was the leisure amenities. We took full advantage of the outdoor swimming pool — a serene little oasis perfect for a morning dip or evening unwind. The fitness centre, spa, and wellness offerings added to the sense of pampering. For those traveling with kids or family, there’s even a kids’ pool and a family-friendly vibe.  Breakfast and dining at the hotel also deserve special mention. The buffet breakfast was generous and satisfying — a great way to start a busy day in Davao. For lunch or dinner, the on-site restaurant served a mix of Thai, Asian, international, and European dishes, giving a variety that could cater to different tastes and dietary preferences.  The presence of a café and even a pastry/deli option made it easy to grab a light meal or snack without leaving the property.  Location is another strong suit for Dusit Thani Residence. It’s conveniently located near the airport, which is a big plus if you have early flights or late arrivals.  At the same time, it’s still close enough to city amenities, shopping, and other attractions — offering both convenience and comfort. Many guests appreciated this balance of accessibility and tranquility.  That said, no stay is perfect, and a few aspects could be improved. Some guests mentioned that certain rooms felt a bit cramped or that balcony areas were under-utilized due to cleanliness concerns.  There were occasional gripes about maintenance — for example, shower drains draining slowly or small furniture quirks — and a few found the elevator access between towers a bit awkward, especially if coming from parking.  A minority even felt the place fell short of 5-star expectations in certain respects.  Still, for us, these were minor blemishes compared to the overall positive experience. What stood out was how the hotel blends comfort, convenience, and courteous service with enough extras to feel like more than just a “place to sleep.” The pool, spa, and kitchen-equipped rooms make it a strong choice for families, couples, business travellers — essentially anyone who values a balance of luxury and practicality. Wir hatten zwei Tage lang weder WLAN noch Fernsehempfang, und die Klimaanlage tropfte. Wir haben bereits mehrmals einen Techniker gerufen. Auch an der Rezeption konnten wir uns nicht helfen lassen, aber man sagte uns lediglich, dass es keinen Empfang gäbe. Das war sehr ärgerlich, da wir den bezahlten Komfort und Internetzugang nicht nutzen konnten. Ich hoffe, dass diese Bewertung dazu beiträgt, dass das Hotel künftig besser auf die Anliegen seiner Kunden eingeht.

My second time here, and it’s still my top choice! Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a breakfast buffet that is just as delicious as I remembered. Great service all around—highly recommended.

We arrived a bit late on our first night and were accommodated poorly. After a long day of travel, we encountered several issues with our room arrangements. I had booked two rooms, expecting them to be close to each other, but that was not the case. As a family travelling together, we requested to have our rooms swapped to be nearer, yet we were only allowed to add an extra bed. This was not ideal, especially since my mom couldn't stay alone in a room meant for 6 to 8 people, which I had already paid for. When I spoke to the front desk, who I believe was the manager on duty at the time, her tone was unpleasing and lacked empathy for us as guests. It was a disappointing negotiation. We also discussed issues with the internet connection, and she seemed unyielding, suggesting that nothing could be done except to pay for a data plan, for which they would provide a modem. Having stayed at many hotels and being a hotel manager, I can clearly say that our service was inadequate.

What I liked: - good location - excellent customer service - beautiful reception - the breakfast was authentic and tasty What I did not like: - cockroach was found in my room - the rooms and bathrooms are extremely dated in desperate need for a redo, despite some efforts for refurbishment since my last stay earlier this year - the TV is pretty much just a decoration in room, about 4-5 channels are available with poor signal quality, without any exaggeration it is impossible to view. Not a Smart TV, so no YouTube or Netflix to keep you entertained, if you choose to stay here, - it is poor value for the price/night, the recent price increase is really not justifiable

Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal, da es weniger als 10 Minuten vom Flughafen entfernt ist. Allerdings muss man mit Gepäck eine Treppe hinaufsteigen. Ich werde aber trotzdem für meine nächsten frühen Morgenreisen wieder in diesem Hotel übernachten.

Ich wiederhole das Hotel und werde bei meiner nächsten Reise wiederkommen, ein ruhiges, zentral gelegenes Hotel mit guter Sauberkeit und Ausstattung, gelinde gesagt, es ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber das ist kein Hindernis dafür, dass Ihr Aufenthalt sehr gut wird.
