This is the best stay I’ve ever stayed It’s a family run pension with two super friendly golden retrievers, the whole house is newly built, extremely clean, and decorated with good taste The dinner and breakfast are western- Japanese fusion, everything is homemade, definitely worth trying There is a nice and clean private onsen, or you can take a bus to have a day trip to other bigger onsen Minakami itself is a countryside area, and the pension is right next to the bus station There is literally nothing around the stay, so you need to get everything you need in Minakami station, but I think it’s a characteristic rather than disadvantage

Der Kundenservice des Personals ist sehr gut. Das Aussehen dieses Essens kann man genießen und alle Arten von Gerichten ein bisschen essen, das ist sehr zufriedenstellend. Obwohl es sich um ein alteingesessenes Thermalquellen-Gasthaus handelt, wurde es mäßig renoviert und war komfortabel. Ich denke, es ist perfekt für ein Paar in den Sechzigern, um sich von der täglichen Arbeit zu erholen und von der Außenwelt abgeschnitten zu sein. An dem Tag, an dem ich dort übernachtete, waren bestimmt ziemlich viele Kunden dort, wenn man bedenkt, wie voll der Parkplatz war, aber es war sehr ruhig und niemand machte Lärm. Auch die Vermieterin war elegant und hatte ein nettes Lächeln.

We had an amazing and relaxing stay! We truly loved it and had a wonderful night surrounded by serene nature. The view was absolutely beautiful — the lake is just right in front of the hotel! The place is spotless and very well maintained. But what truly made our stay special was the incredible staff. A big shoutout to Mr. Ozu, the General Manager, for going the extra mile with his thoughtfulness! When he learned that we were heading to the ropeway the next day (and that there were no bus trips on weekdays), he kindly offered us a ride. He was also genuinely concerned about our hike and overall safety — so heartwarming! Since we didn’t get the dinner package and there was only one restaurant nearby that closed at 4 p.m., we decided to get a takeout for dinner. My friend also asked if there was a nearby café to buy a cake for my birthday, but there wasn’t any. Later that evening, after we came back from the onsen, someone knocked on our door and surprised us with a complimentary cake! They said it was because we didn’t have dinner and they wanted to celebrate my birthday. Awwww! Such a thoughtful and sweet gesture! 🎂💖 In the morning, Mr. Ozu even gave us taxi numbers and the bus schedule for Yumoto Onsen, making sure our travel plans went smoothly. Truly amazing hospitality — we felt so cared for and appreciated throughout our stay! 🌿✨

Das Zimmer ist sehr neu, groß, sauber und komfortabel. Ich liebe das private Onsen Badtube am Balkon gegenüber dem Fluss, es ist sehr entspannend. Das tägliche Frühstück war gut, wir können wählen westlich oder japanisch den Tag vor. Abendessen Menü war lecker und schöne Präsentation.

Ich und meine Kinder lieben unser Aufenthalt hier so viel! Es ist die beste japanische Erfahrung. Sehr leckere Lebensmittel gut jedes Essen zubereitet. So ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt.

So many little things that make this hotel much better than anything else. The way they show you to your room, the way they put your shoes away and bring them back on your departure date, the way dinner and breakfast is waiting for you at your own private table, the way they let couples share an onsen during quiet hours. My point is - you will feel like a VIP here. The staff and always there, taking care of you in subtle ways, but you never feel watched or intruded on. This kind of invisible service - maybe hard for westerners to understand, but it is excellent. You will feel like you are really being understand and looked after. Highly recommend. Best hotel service I've had in japan in 2 years of living here. Highly recommended.

Our visit to this hotel was perfectly adequate. The traditional setting provided a nice sense of atmosphere, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The onsen facilities themselves were clean and relaxing, meeting our expectations for a hot spring experience. Our room was spacious, but the amenities felt a little dated and could use some refreshment. Dinner and breakfast were included, offering a standard array of Japanese cuisine that was palatable, though not exceptional. The staff were polite. Overall, it's a safe and decent choice if you're looking for a no-frills, standard onsen hotel experience.

Das Abendessen und das Frühstück sind alle selbsthilfen, so dass es den Kindern gut ist, was sie mögen zu wählen. Ich bin froh, dass alle Vegetarier leicht zu essen sind. Wichtigstens ist jeder Gericht sehr lecker, und ich und meine Familie sagten, ich würde es noch einmal tun. Die warme Tür ist sehr komfortabel, die Kinder sind glücklich. Es ist auch attraktiv, 24 Stunden zu baden. Ich will das noch einmal.
