My family & I usually stay in T*ntr*m (been our no 1. option in Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Tangerang for a while), but considering NY traffic, decided hotel next to mall as safer option, and I think Marriott Yogya will be our no 1. option in Yogyakarta now.
PRE-STAY
Staying experience actually starts the second we finished the hotel reservation, maybe its long before we even arrive at the hotel. Most dont really optimize this.
What I will highlight is Marriott really put my requests (birthday decor in specific room, connecting rooms) into the system, where everyone can check. From the one handling the WhatsApp to the receptionist the day we arrive, Ilham. And they execute my request really well.
I've experienced some that forget my request and ended up decorating the wrong room, or not facilitating the request, even though they said they will facilitate.
*see pic 8 - 11. It doesnt have to be expensive, businesses have to calculate the cost and margin. Whats important, for me, is put some effort into it. Its part of making the stay memorable.
STAY
I love it when :
- the moment we arrive, the staff helps us by opening the car door, w/ the smile and greeting. Not from just one person, but every staff did the smile and greeting.
- Ilham texted that the other room is ready. Most just rely on guest will be the one to follow up, but not Marriott.
- we asked the way to mall entrance, the staff took us to the entrance, not just directing w/ hands.
- they put anti-slip mat in shower area (pic 6), such a functional addition for safety. Because aesthetic needs to meet w/ function.
- we went out at 8.30 in the morning for culinary & coffee around Yogyakarta and put the cleaning sign on, but forget to call, just to communicate that we want the room cleaned while we're out. 2,5 hours later when we're back, those 2 rooms are neat & tidy.
Some hotels dont notice the difference those make for guest(s).
These, for me, really help building the memorable staying exp.

AAnonymer BenutzerDas Zimmer ist gut. Es ist nicht so groß, aber sie stellen das Layout wirklich gut, so dass es immer noch geräumig fühlt. Kein Schrank, nur ein begrenzter offener Raum, um Ihre Kleidung zu hängen.
Ich habe hier 2 Nächte geblieben, und leider habe ich während dieses Aufenthalts viele Probleme:
1. Nach dem Einchecken ging ich sofort in mein Zimmer und zeigte sich, dass es ein super bewölktes Zimmer ist (ein anderer Gast hat gerade ausgecheckt und sie haben es noch nicht gereinigt). So musste ich zurück in die Lobby gehen und um ein anderes Zimmer bitten.
2. In meinem neuen Zimmer wurde die AC leckt und sie ständig zerfallen, solange die AC auf war. Ich musste eine Kehle, einen Container oder was es auch ist. Er sagte dem Personal, er würde folgen. Nichts taten sie bis zum Tag, an dem ich auscheckte.
3. Am zweiten Tag konnte ich die Zimmertür nicht einmal mit meiner eigenen Zimmerkarte öffnen. Sie haben die Karte nur für eine Nacht gesetzt, so musste ich wieder in die Lobby gehen. Sie haben einfach wieder aufgestellt, ohne zu erklären, warum es passiert ist.
Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und freundlich. Nur all diese Probleme haben mich den Eindruck erweckt, dass dieses Hotel nicht professionell genug ist.
Frühstück war gut. Nicht viele Optionen verfügbar, aber gut genug, um Ihren Tummy zu füllen. Lage ist großartig. Zimmer ist sauber. Begrenzte Parkplatz, aber sie hatten Valley Service.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with just the right balance between functionality and style. While not overly large, the space is well laid out and feels cozy rather than cramped. The bed was comfortable, and overall cleanliness was well maintained throughout the stay.
Location-wise, ARTOTEL is convenient for exploring Yogyakarta, with easy access to cafes, local eateries, and key attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the pleasant experience.
Overall, ARTOTEL Yogyakarta is a great choice if you enjoy boutique-style hotels with character and personality. It’s not just a place to sleep, but a creative space that reflects the vibrant cultural spirit of the city.

LLeon ZhuEhrlich gesagt ist die Lage in Ordnung; ein Einkaufszentrum und ein kleiner Flughafen sind in der Nähe. Die Sauberkeit lässt allerdings zu wünschen übrig; in meiner Toilette tauchte eine riesige Kakerlake auf, was wirklich erschreckend war. Ich musste zur Rezeption gehen, um das Problem beheben zu lassen. Der Service war okay; die Angestellten waren alle sehr freundlich, aber das Englisch des Rezeptionspersonals ist verbesserungswürdig. Die Ausstattung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht.

SStukyIch hatte einen fantastischen Aufenthalt im Satoria Hotel Yogyakarta. Ursprünglich hatte ich nur ein paar Nächte gebucht, aber es hat mir so gut gefallen, dass ich meine Reservierung um zwei weitere Tage verlängert habe (daher diese zweite Bewertung).
Highlights meines Aufenthalts:
Hervorragendes Personal: Das Team ist fantastisch – immer freundlich, hilfsbereit und stets gut gelaunt.
Erstklassige und ruhige Lage: Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend, was für einen erholsamen Schlaf sorgt. Gleichzeitig sind alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten schnell zu erreichen.
Fantastische Ausstattung: Die Dachterrasse und der Pool sind wunderschön – der perfekte Ort zum Entspannen. Außerdem ist das WLAN im gesamten Hotel schnell und zuverlässig.
Fitnessstudio: Das Fitnessstudio ist etwas klein, aber es war immer kostenlos und für mich jederzeit zugänglich.
Leckeres Frühstück: Ein exzellentes Frühstück mit einer großen Auswahl an hochwertigen Speisen.
Ich kann dieses Hotel jedem Yogyakarta-Besucher wärmstens empfehlen.

RRezaTrinHotel yang bagus. Dlu hotel ini namanya primepark deh. Utk bangunan ckup tua, tp masih dipelihara dgn baik. Parkiran luas, ada lapangan tenis dan pool yg luas jg. Utk kamar jg bagus dan luas serta terawat. Karpet. Hanya saja aga sedikit remang. Untuk sarapan banyak variasinya.
Utk staff very helpfull dan ramah2. Bner2 nyaman.
Ada peminjaman sepeda juga.
