Was für ein tolles Hotel! Wir waren rundum begeistert und unser Aufenthalt war einfach perfekt. Das Personal war stets hilfsbereit, freundlich und professionell. Das Zimmer war wunderschön, das große Doppelbett für uns mehr als ausreichend und das Zimmer selbst auch sehr geräumig. Das Badezimmer hatte eine tolle Größe, eine große Badewanne und eine Dusche mit starkem Wasserdruck. Die Lage ist super: Bilbao ist eine der Städte, die man am besten zu Fuß erkunden kann, und das Hotel liegt direkt am Flussufer. Das Guggenheim-Museum ist nur 10 Minuten und die Altstadt 5 Minuten entfernt. Wir haben mehrmals gefrühstückt, und Bohnen und Eier waren mein Favorit. Beim ersten Besuch waren die Eier nicht so gut, aber beim zweiten Mal waren sie viel besser. Speck und Gebäck waren lecker, und der Frischkäse mit Kräutern war ein Genuss. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Sie werden von einem Aufenthalt hier nicht enttäuscht sein.

Keine Einwegzahnbürsten oder Hausschuhe, das Zimmer war zwar groß, aber das ist wohl dem Umweltschutz geschuldet. Der Aufzug ist sehr klein, und das Erdgeschoss ist Etage 0. Check-in ist erst ab 14 Uhr möglich.

Hotel was minutes away from Guggenheim Museum Bilbao which was our planned at Bilbao. There is hotel parking with a fee available during booking. The breakfast was good. The hotel and resturant staff were friendly and kind. My room was modern and clean, it comes with a streets view. There is room available with the museum view too.

This is the best hotel we have stayed in for the price I’m so glad we chose this one as it was a very comfortable room huge twin beds, very comfortable mattresses, pillows and bedding. One comfy arm chair plus desk chair, suitcase stands, glasses, mugs, kettle etc mini fridge , bottled water provided, excellent shower with quality fittings. Very quiet room and excellent location for the city centre and the river and metro & tram stops. Highly recommend

La estancia fue agradable en general. Las habitaciones son bastante sencillas y el aislamiento acústico podría mejorar, ya que se escucha con claridad lo que ocurre en las habitaciones contiguas. Una de las noches, por ejemplo, llegamos a oír claramente la conversación del señor de la habitación de al lado. En cuanto a la habitación, no destaca especialmente por nada en particular. Algo que llama la atención al entrar es el olor, que es bastante perceptible al principio, aunque uno termina acostumbrándose. Sospecho que proviene de las cortinas. El hotel está bien ubicado, en una zona muy tranquila. Eso sí, si planeas moverte a pie, ten en cuenta que el regreso puede ser algo exigente por las cuestas. La gran ventaja de su localización es el fácil acceso desde cualquier punto sin necesidad de atravesar el centro de la ciudad, ya que está muy bien conectado con autopistas y carreteras principales. El desayuno merece una mención especial: muy completo, con gran variedad y productos de calidad.

Choose the hotel for its proximity to the Intermodal bus interchange. We walked to all the main tourist attractions from the hotel. Bilbao is a very walkable city. What sets this hotel apart is the friendliness of the staff. The front counter team is genuinely friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Noemi who went out of her way to help us and gave advice on airline lost luggage. The room is spacious for our needs. The king bed is super comfortable, with just the right firmness. Linen is plush and pillows are fluffy. It has a simple yet functional tea-making facility in the room. The room came with USB charger by bedside, which is essential for today's travellers. We love the bathroom. Well-lit, full-size shower with strong water pressure. You will find the basic amenities (Toothbrush etc) in the bathroom. The cleaner did a good job with the room. The hall and public areas are all spotless. Judging based on the interior, the hotel might have been refurbished not that long ago.

I have a great stay! The location is fantastic — just a few steps from the Guggenheim Museum, which made exploring the city super convenient. The room was very cozy, clean, and comfortable — exactly what we were hoping for. However, there's one detail that could be clearer: the hotel advertises ”private parking,” but in reality, it's a public city parking lot located about 450 meters away. It costs €20 per day, and there is no parking directly at the hotel. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to know in advance.

A True Gem That Feels Like a 4-Star Hotel! My stay at the Sercotel Arenal Bilbao was flawless. The hotel is absolutely spotless, with lovely decor and beautiful views from the room. The entire hotel, from the elegant lobby to my room, was spotless. It was clear that the housekeeping team takes immense pride in their work, ensuring a pristine and hygienic environment that immediately made me feel at ease. The reception staff provided excellent, warm service. The breakfast was perfect—not too big, not too small, but just the right selection for an amazing start to the day. The management is clearly doing a fantastic job. With this level of quality and attention to detail, this hotel truly operates like a four-star property. I can't wait to return.
