The towels were not so clean, one day there's little hair falling out from the towel, very short, like dried shaved mustache which won't appear from my side as I'm female and traveled alone. Another day after the room is cleaned, the new door mat towel on the shower room bar was contaminated with at least three dark scratches, I tried to turn over to use another side and discovered both sides had black traces on it. The gym room only has two running machines. I saw staff trying to transport some other rack to the room, but they took them away eventually, it would be good if they can put more amenities there. Overall the room is very spacious and good, but the tv's wifi broken down twice on 2 days during my stay, and I couldn't use the project screen function to enjoy movie watching for a while. The washing machine and dryers are quite good. It's good for long time travelers, they even have steam ironing machine. Overall, the design of the rooms, entrance lobby, reception lobby, Landry room, breakfast lounge and gym room in the hotel are quite nice. There's robot to deliver take away to the room, and I tried using this service to see the robot, on my last day of staying, unluckily, a staff knocked on my door and said the other staff entered the wrong room number and the robot went to the wrong room, so he delivered the take away to me. It's disappointing because I was excited to see how this robotic technology works. Anyway, it's not a big deal.

I stayed here for two nights on a business trip, and it was an absolute highlight! First, the view from my room (I got a free suite upgrade—such a pleasant surprise!) was stunning—cityscapes and skyline visible through the large windows. The service was top - notch; staff were friendly and always ready to help. The gym was well - equipped with modern machines (I worked out both days). And the buffet, so much variety—fresh sushi, salads, hot dishes… really impressed. My room was cozy, clean, and the bathroom (with a nice tub) felt luxurious. For business travel, it’s perfect: comfortable, convenient, and great value. I’d definitely come back for work or leisure!

Alles über den Aufenthalt ist erstaunlich. Ihr Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit. Carol war ein Charme. Ich wünsche mir, dass mehr Hotels nett Menschen wie sie haben. Meine einzige Sorge war der Lärm von Hochgeschwindigkeitsbahn, aber das ist kein Problem in den Nachten. Das war mein letzter Aufenthalt in China und wollte es auf einem hohen Note beenden. Hilton war überhaupt nicht enttäuscht.

Das Hotelzimmer ist groß genug und sauber. Das Badezimmer hat einen guten Wasserdruck und die Dusche ist sehr komfortabel. Es gibt viele Restaurants in der Nähe, was für Magenmedikamente praktisch ist. Innerhalb von 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichen Sie das Shunchang Plaza, wo Sie einkaufen und essen können. Das einzige, was sich im Raum befand, war das Seidenpapier. Vielleicht war es vom Personal zu voll und es war schwierig, das Seidenpapier zu bekommen. An regnerischen Tagen gibt es im Kinderspielplatz-Wellenbad natürlich keine Beleuchtung, es ist zu dunkel. Vielleicht verwende ich normalerweise natürliches Sonnenlicht🌞, ich hoffe, das wird besser!

The strong, reliable Wi-Fi was a definite plus for both work and leisure. Great Location & Value: The hotel’s location proved very convenient – close to local dining spots, shops, and key attractions in Guzhen. Transportation links were easily accessible, making exploring straightforward. Considering the quality of the room, service, and amenities offered, the hotel provides excellent value for money. It’s a practical base whether you’re traveling for business or leisure. Highly Recommended: For a hassle-free, comfortable stay with genuine hospitality, Dongfeng Oriental Guzhen Hotel is a top choice. I left feeling well-rested and satisfied and would happily return on my next visit to the area.

We have stayed at Marriott hotels in both the U.S. and China, so we had relatively high expectations for this Le Méridien property. Overall, the hotel is fairly good and clean, but the staff training and service quality still need improvement. Pros: We stayed here for a few days and overall had a comfortable stay. The hotel is clean, housekeeping came every day, and our room was spacious. The amenities were generally good, and whenever we requested daily supplies, they were delivered to the room very quickly. Cons: 1. Deposit Policy: The Trip app and website stated that no deposit was required. However, during check-in, the front desk informed us that a USD 400 deposit was mandatory. It seems the website has not been updated, so guests should be financially prepared for this additional charge. 2. Service Quality: The front desk staff felt rather inexperienced and insufficiently trained for a Marriott property. The staff member who checked us in spoke very limited English and could not even identify the issuing bank of my card, despite the bank name being clearly printed in English on the card. This may sound picky, but we expected a higher level of professionalism from Marriott staff. Additionally, when we came downstairs to check out around 11 PM, several front desk staff members were gathered together looking at one staff member’s screen and chatting. When we approached the desk, they simply dispersed and no one asked whether we needed assistance. Compared to other Marriott hotels we have stayed at in both China and the U.S., the service quality here felt noticeably below standard. 3. Amenities: Most amenities were well maintained, but the shower water temperature was unstable and would occasionally become extremely hot, making showers unpleasant. Also, if you plan to use the spa, make sure to purchase coupons through ******* beforehand. The coupon price is around 360 RMB, while the walk-in price is about 600 RMB. Since local guests are more familiar with ******* than foreign travelers, the pricing difference may feel somewhat unfair or misleading for international visitors.

The hotel is located on the eastern side of Zhongshan, where there isn't much to do in the vicinity. The property itself is quite large but feels a bit dated. The water spa is permanently closed, with no notice or updates provided on the hotel's website, which was disappointing. The equipment in the gym also appears worn and in need of replacement. The outdoor pool is very clean. It is a perfect spot to relax. The cleaning team keeps the room tidy and clean throughout my staying. The front staff are very nice and professional. They kindly allowed me a late checkout at no additional cost, which I really appreciated. During my stay, I came across a local night market by the river. It seemed to cater mostly to locals, and the food there was absolutely delicious.
