Cody, WY (south-east of The Yurt) and Red Lodge, MT (north-east of The Yurt) are both approximately an hours drive. The areas surrounding The Yurt are known for their breathtaking views and wide range of activities. Hundreds of hiking trails allow both beginner and more advanced hikers to explore this beautiful landscape. World-class trout fishing, canoeing, kayaking, excellent opportunities for photographs and photographers, bird-watching, and an abundance of wildlife viewing are all activities available in the Beartooth-Absaroka Wilderness. In the colder months, many areas offer up great opportunities for quality snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding, skiing, and snowboarding. You can see stunning views straight from the deck of The Yurt and anywhere you travel in this unique region. The night skies are spectacular.
