Okey so I don’t even know where to start. I arrive and the door to the hotel is locked? Which is odd considering they state they have a 24 hour open reception. Nevertheless a guy lets me in. I get my key at the reception and the guy tells me which floor and that oh btw there’s a Bit of renovation going on but I won’t even notice. Well my room is on first floor and the entire hallway is covered in paper. The room itself looks like it definitely hasn’t undergone a renovation in a long long time, and it definitely doesn’t resembles the picture on the website. It says on *********** theres Wi-Fi in the room but as it turns out it apparently only works in the reception. Also It says in the description the room has a dryer it doesn’t. Also there’s a voltage box in the room, probably not the safest.. The tv screen is probably the smallest I’ve ever seen and the duvet doesn’t have a cover, kind of gross as I don’t expect they wash it after every visit. And now to the ongoing renovation I won’t even notice, I been hearing people working in the past couple of hours now, and it is now 20:42 and someone is happily hammering away. Otherwise it would be fine except if it wasn’t for the person deciding it was a good idea to have a bell on the front door, so every time someone goes in or out it goes of, and with renovation going on a lot of people are going through the door. Can’t help but thinking how that will work during the night if people come back late. The area is super sketchy, I was travelling as a female alone and definitely wouldn’t recommend that for anyone. Especially not if you were Planning to be out after dark. Now to the upsides, the hotel is close to gare du nord so easy to locate and get around. If you just need a Room for one night this would be an okey option considering price and location.. otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it
