Booked a holiday for me and my family (wife and two young daughters, 7 and 10) and finding a hotel for us was a real challenge, as the prices were crazy! Eventually found the Five Hotel, which offered us a suite at a good price. Paris I have always found that if you try to go basic and cheap, you will end up regretting it, but the reviews for The Five Hotel were coming back good. Firstly, yes it is catered more for romantic get away for a weekend rather than families, but the pictures on the walls are not as burlesque as most reviewers make out, and being honest, did not feel awkward having my two young daughters there. It is maybe in a area that you would not consider to be central, but you are pretty close to all the action, and there is two separate Metro stations near by that can get you around (we did Euro Disney on our 2nd day, and were at the park in less than 50 minutes after leaving our hotel). We had arrived at CDG around 10:45pm, and there was line works happening at night, so we could not get as far as Gare De Nord (yet had the line been open, we could have got a direct train from CDG to Port Royal), so had to get a Bolt to take us from GDN to the hotel, which only cost us 13 Euros (Paris is a VERY good city for getting around with Bolt), and took about 20 minutes for us to get to the hotel. We were not actually staying in the main building, but across the street in one of the suites. Nice VERY spacious room, with two double beds and show, toilet, bathroom and kitchen facilities. Very quiet and got two good nights sleep. Staff are amazing and really do go that extra mile for you. Breakfast is not all that great, as there is not all that much space in the dining area, and the food on offer is not all that big, so you either need to be fast, or you will have to wait as fresh food is prepared. All in all, great boutique hotel that met all our needs, and we would certainly consider staying here again next time in Paris
