Hôtel du Temps

I was quite disappointed by the poor level of customer service and the lack of effort to address guest concerns this “boutique” hotel has… Additionally, the overall experience did not justify the price, as the soundproofing was inadequate, making it very difficult to ignore noise from neighboring rooms.

The staff are lovely and extremely helpful. The hotel is well situated in the 9e, and there is a relaxing breakfast area downstairs. However, the infrastructure is not great. The wifi is temperamental. We have stayed here before: in the past I was stuck in the elevator once, although it recovered on its own in about five minutes. Recently, we got stuck for half an hour and more worrying, the emergency button was not working. This would be a disaster for someone with claustrophobia because the elevator itself is tiny. The hotel needs to replace the elevator.

A good location near the Gare du Nord. Small hotel with 5 floors. Our bedroom was on the 5th floor, essentially in the attic. A small bedroom but a large comfortable bed. The bathroom had a very small bath but was adequate. I’d recommend this hotel for a night but if staying in Paris longer you’d probably want somewhere more spacious. The bar/lounge on the ground floor is fine and the optional breakfast is limited but adequate. The whole experience was made very positive by the charming and friendly receptionist Shani, who was very helpful.

We booked a last minute trip to Paris for three nights with Hotel Du Temps in one of their comfort rooms. We arrived to find that none were available and were given a dingy attic room that looked like substandard student accommodation - the walls and corners were dirty, the window wouldn’t close, the lights were old and the bathroom grouting was dark and unclean. It was a totally miserable experience. We left the next day as soon as we could find a more suitable, clean hotel elsewhere. We have tried to obtain a refund through both bookings.com, whom we booked with, but the hotel refuse to return their four calls. They claim we didn’t show up (if only!) but we have videos of the room that prove otherwise. They refuse to acknowledge these videos despite having been emailed them twice. I’m writing this review in the hope that someone from the hotel gets back to me, we are are a refund at the very least. I only have videos to share which I’m unable to post, only pictures.

I had the most comfortable bed and loved my room. The breakfast was excellent and I felt the staff went out of their way to make sure I had a good experience. The hotel is small and more personal. I felt like I knew the staff by the end of my stay.

J’aimerais partager avec vous mon expérience de ce dernier mois avec l’équipe de l’hôtel du temps, qui s’est finalement révélée être carrément du vol pur et simple. Lorsque j’ai été sur le site officiel de l’Hotel du Temps pour réserver une chambre, j’ai été redirigé automatiquement sur un autre site qui s’appelle Guest reservation. J’ai donc payé la réservation depuis ce site, et j’ai ensuite remarqué que le prix total avait été majoré de 200€ et que ma carte de credit avait été debitée de ce montant additionnel sans mon accord préalable (et sans aucune raison). J’ai immédiatement contacté l’hôtel car je craignais être tombé sur un site frauduleux (malgré le fait que j’avais été redirigé vers Guest reservation depuis … le site officiel de l’hotel du Temps). L’hôtel m’a répondu qu’en effet ils ne trouvaient pas de réservation à mon nom et qu’ils ne travaillaient pas avec Guest reservations. Ayant toujours besoin d’une chambre et pensant que l’hôtel du Temps n’avait rien à se reprocher, j’ai demandé à mon amie voyageant avec moi de réserver une chambre (à son nom) dans le même hotel, via *********** cette fois. Quelques jours plus tard , l’hotel m’informe qu'il y a maintenant une réservation à mon nom, effectuée via un site partenaire (qui m’est inconnu) du nom d’Agoda, et qu'ils ne peuvent rien faire pour l’annuler. Sous le conseil de l’hôtel, je contacte donc Agoda; le customer service se montre conciliant et dit vouloir m’aider à annuler la réservation. Cependant, quelques jours plus tard, je reçois un courriel d’Agoda m’informant que le management de hôtel du Temps refuse d’annuler et de rembourser la chambre sans autres explication que “ce n’est pas la politique de l’hôtel. ” Surprise, je propose neanmoins à l’hotel du Temps de payer les fees (qu’ils auraient pu avoir du fait d’être passer par un site tier) pour annuler ma chambre. Mais l’hotel ne veut rien entendre, alors même que nous étions un mois et demi avant la date de notre réservation. Après une dizaine d’échanges d’e-mail avec le manager/propriétaire de l’hôtel qui répète en boucle que « ce n’est pas la politique de l’hôtel, je me retrouve avec une double réservation à un prix exorbitant. En conclusion, l’hotel a empoché sur le dos de ses clients 580 euros impunément. Et pour couronner le tout, l’experience à l’hôtel en vaut vraiment pas le prix. Les murs sont fait de papiers; on entend tout. La temperature de la douche ne ce réglait que sur 50 degrés (brulant) et quand je l’ai mentionné à la réception on m’a dit “mais vous n’avez pas laissez couler la douche pendant 20 minutes pour qu’il y ai de l’eau froide..?” .. Euh non.. Je ne peux donc que vous inviter à éviter cet hotel.
