Edgar & Achille Hôtel et Restaurant

Obwohl es ein Problem mit der Anzahl der Gäste gab, half das Hotelpersonal meiner Familie sehr freundlich. Ich kann dieses Hotel angesichts des Preises und der Lage wärmstens empfehlen.

My family and I stayed at Edgar and Achille in September 2024. It is a beautiful hotel in a great area, but sadly our experience was disappointing. We faced several challenges, including an uncomfortably warm room with no way to control the thermostat, which was concerning because we had our baby with us. Our only option was to open the window, but that let in a lot of noise. Additionally, the rooms have no refrigerators, which was a major inconvenience since we needed to store breast milk. The hotel directed us to their restaurant across the street, but they misplaced our milk and lost some of our food. We also requested extra pillows but were told none were available after asking twice. The lack of basic amenities like an iron, lotion, coffee, and refrigeration, combined with unhelpful front desk staff, made things even more difficult. Despite raising these concerns with management multiple times, no one followed up with us, which added to our frustration. For the high cost of staying here, we were expecting a much better experience. We hope the hotel addresses these issues for future guests.

Really nice hotel, close to multiple metro stops and good restaurants. I would definitely go to this hotel again.

Great boutique style hotel with 2 buildings across from each other tucked away in a little pocket of the Strasbourg-Saint-Denis area of Paris, France. Clean and comfortable rooms that are surprisingly big or larger than most rooms in that price range with opening windows and views of the courtyard. The staff is friendly and very helpful and easy to communicate with. For this price maybe the best value I've experienced here in Paris as I've been before of course, Cheers to the Edgar and Achile hotel staff. Bravo!

We were here for breakfast as we stayed nearby. The breakfast room is lovely with big windows and a terrace that look out on to a lovely square with a Wallace Fountain. This is an historic area important for the wholesale fabric and clothing trade so there is a lot of that about. You are very close to lots of cool restaurants.

We stumbled across this property at the Tablet hotel app and loved the location. Booked only to read previous reviews afterwards. Our experience was overall good. Rooms are small but that is pretty standard in Europe and especially in a big city like Paris. The building is an older one meaning that in our half there was o elevator, we had been traveling for a couple of weeks and had too much luggage for a small no elevator hotel…hehehe… but we managed. The room was clean and bohem style more than boutique. Good bathrooms and nice products. Breakfast was excellent, a’la carte wich ne and my family loved. The staff was wonderful as was the reception staff, allowing an hour later check out which was very much appreciated. The location as others mention is amazing. For a weekend break in Paris, a couple or friends I would definitely recommend.

Couldn't fault this hotel. Fabulous base for exploring central Paris. Minutes walk from Metro. We visited most Paris landmarks and found getting around very easy. Bed very comfy and can't wait to return in better weather hopefully. Highly recommend

We booked here for 2 nights, 2 adults and one child. The baby cot we asked just had the mattress, we had to ask for sheets and there was no pillow for the baby available. 1st day without hot water in the bathroom, we had taken a cold shower the next morning too, than the stuff fixed it. They “forgot” to give us a towel for the baby 2/2 times (on second day we had “new” dirty towel and was impossibile to contact the stuff to have another one).

Hôtel Edgar was so sweet. We stayed in the blue room which had a festive view of the outside restaurant. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. Mostly, I want to thank the generous woman working reception in your annex-- leaving, we were running late to get the Eurostar to London. Dear visitors, do not assume you can hail a cab anytime you like-- and she gave us her personal subway tickets to make our trip faster. Thank you, Edgar, for having such a great staff. Also, it was fun to sit outside in the evening and have a glass of wine. And, we appreciated the location. It was easy to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go.
