Casa la Costa by Wynwood House

The apartment was great; clean, spacious, modern. We had a corner balcony (apartment 1D) which was nice because the balconies aren't fully private, only separated by a plant box. Location... you are really close to the nice area with bars, restaurants, points of interest... but you are also on the cusp of a sketchy neighbourhood. We never felt in danger but certainly uneasy at times. Ear plugs are provided - you will need them! The WARNING: There is no doorman although the listing says there is. Entry is fully automatic; you get a QR code to scan with your phone to enter the main building and a numeric code for a lockbox to get the keys once inside the building . "For security reasons" Wynwood House only sends the QR code the day of... well they didn't! We arrived at 5:30 pm without a code, stuck outside. I called, messaged, WhatsApped, wrote through the Wynwood application... nothing, no reply. We managed to enter the building with other guests after a long stressful 2 hour wait and some help from local people in the street. Wynwood finally contacted us at 10:30pm!! They were "sorry for the inconvenience"...!!! This could have been dangerous. NOTE: we stayed for 6 days and witnessed many other travellers with the same problem. Unacceptable.
