Mateus Boutique Hotel

Very comfortable stay! Nice ambience. Staff were very gentle and helpful. Very close to Panjim church, Roads of fountain house roads are beautiful. This property is very close to main market, church and mandavi river. Quiet and cosy place to stay.

Mateus Boutique Hotel was a real gem in all respects in the heart of Panaji in the famous Fontainhas area. Right from calling them direct and talking to the lady in charge of reservations and overall supervision of the place Mrs. Cleta Fernandes to the other three members onsite, the warmth, care and hospitality was impeccable going over and beyond the call of the hospitality industry. The place has been beautifully refurbished retaining the old world charm and giving it a classic and quiet guest house feel with the well annointed nine rooms as opposed to a modern multi room and busy hotel. The place has a quiet dignity and feel to it. Mrs. Fernandes, was an epitome of genuine hospitality. When she heard that I felt that one of the lights above the bathroom mirror was dim she followed up and had it changed. Mr. Ashpak, the Manager onsite was wonderful in his quite and helpful manner and very respectful and friendly. Surya, the housekeeping staff member was very good in his friendly manner. Krishna, the breakfast chef/housekeeping member was good and friendly too. The entire team made Mateus feel genuinely a home away from home. They all combinedly treated you like a close relative come home to them. Need I say more!

Hotel is beautiful. Welcomed by helpful manager who was always on hand to give reccomendations. Rooms were spotless with lots of charm. Big comfy beds . and hotel is in great location. Could not fault this place. We loved our stay here. Would highly reccomend this hotel!

i visited this place 2nd time it was great experience nice and cool place no disturbance they have clean bathroom even breakfast was included in that beautiful view outside even the surrounding area good loved the place enjoyed it everyone coming to Panjim should tried here for stay you will like it

Wonderful stay. The staff was co operative. I would recommend to visit here for the stay. Clean and hygienic rooms We had a lovely night at Hotel Mateus.We loved the Portuguese influence and decoration.The location is great, only a few minutes walk to the local attractions and some fabulous restaurants.We would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to spend sometime in Panjim.

Mateus Boutique is perfectly located in the beautiful Portuguese quarter of Panjim. The staff is extremely helpful, easy going and nice. We stayed in the upper floor, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. We were 4 friends in two rooms and we were super happy about our stay. The only negative was related to cleaning; i.e. changing bed linens and emptying trash cans etc., but that's easy to fix.
