However, we feel it is important to clarify several points in your review, as some statements do not accurately reflect the services offered by Bellaroto Suite or the assistance provided during your stay. Regarding the minibar, we acknowledge that the refrigerator developed a technical fault during your stay. Once the issue was reported, it was checked by our team and subsequently confirmed to require technical intervention. We sincerely regret the inconvenience, especially during the particularly hot August weather. However, it is not correct to state that we simply did not care or made no attempt to address the problem. We are equally surprised by the statement that the attention from Michele was merely “justa” and that his wife was completely absent. Bellaroto Suite is a small boutique property where we provide personalized hospitality rather than operating as a traditional large hotel with a 24-hour reception desk. Michele personally welcomes guests and remains available to assist them throughout their stay. Regarding breakfast, our breakfast is intentionally served at a carefully selected local partner café just a few minutes’ walk from the property. This is not a hidden or unexpected service: it is clearly communicated to guests and is part of the experience we offer. Many of our guests actually appreciate the opportunity to enjoy breakfast in an authentic Palermo café rather than in a conventional hotel dining room. We would also like to clarify the statement regarding the SPA. Bellaroto Suite & Spa is the name of our property, but the SPA facilities are currently closed and are not available to guests. We do not advertise a closed SPA as an available facility. We therefore consider it unfair to describe this as something that “does not exist” or as a deception. As for the alleged unpleasant smell, we take any genuine report very seriously. The room was cleaned and prepared according to our usual standards, and cleanliness is consistently one of the most highly rated aspects of Bellaroto Suite by our guests. If an issue had been reported to us during the stay, we would certainly have investigated it and done everything reasonably possible to resolve it. We are pleased that, despite your criticisms, you acknowledged that the room itself was very well appointed. Bellaroto Suite is a small historic boutique property in the heart of Palermo’s historic center. Our concept combines the character of a historic building with personalized hospitality and comfortable rooms, rather than the facilities and operating model of a conventional large hotel. We fully respect that our accommodation may not have been the right choice for you.
