Back of Beyond Dune Camp Yala

喜歡露營風格的可以考慮，會讓一個露營流浪佬狂喜！住慣酒店和輕奢風的朋友勸退。這裏的星星是我見過最亮的！所有星雲和星座盡收眼中，幸運的話還可以看到大象和螢火蟲。房間就是個帳篷，洗澡也在露天帳篷裏。拉屎都有鳥兒和烏鴉還有青蛙昆蟲陪着你。早上鳥兒會嘰嘰喳喳叫你起床。這裏的小哥服務沒得説，廚師做的早餐和晚餐非常好吃。特別是烤海魚，簡直太棒了。一種迴歸原始自然的感覺。蚊子不多，蟲子有一些。不過沒有户外自己露營過夜經歷的不要選了，太近親自然。沒空調，帳篷房間沒wifi，可以與世隔絕！享受海風，自然情況。

The tented accommodation was very comfortable and beautifully situated just behind the sand dunes near Yala National Park. The outdoor shower was a treat while the unique fittings were procured from nature. Walking the dunes with a guide and deciphering the animal tracks was a great experience. The staff and food were outstanding, including a beautiful barbecue looking out over the ocean. Very handy to Yala National Park and all it offers – we had a magnificent leopard experience.

We've stayed at Back of Beyond Dune Camp for 2 nights. During our stay we also booked an epic safari! In a way we might have been lucky that we've seen so many different species of wildlife but we believe that this was also due to the expertise of our excellent ranger Sanka. The dune camp is a lovely place to stay right next to the sea. The dunes are georgous at sunset and the dune walk arranged by the campsite (again with Sanka) was an excellent way to already get acquainted with many of the birds to be seen in Yala NP and also provided stunning views overlooking the ocean on top of the white sandy dunes. We've stayed in a awesome tent with a beautiful Seaview. It really was perfect and definitely one off the highlights during our 4 week stay in Sri Lanka. The staff is incredibly friendly and did everything to make our stay memorable. Especially on the last evening, they had a lovely surprise for us.. Which I do not want to spoil!! Just go there, enjoy and definitely book a safari tour with Sanka!

Host with the most! Chandi really made me feel welcome during my stay at Back of Beyond. He went the extra mile to ensure my stay was a positive experience. Organising an amazing al fresco BBQ and tour of the sand dunes at sunset. He also organised my tour of Yala, packed a lovely snack for the trip, made a great tea Sri Lankan tea which was delivered to my tent when I woke up 5:30 for the tour and cooked a great breakfast for when I returned. He and the team including Ran Di made the experience very special. The tents themselves are set in a great location. You can hear the waves crashing in the distance and the experience is extremely authentic! Very much recommend this place. However, giving 4 stars as I think it is quite expensive for the amenities provided and the shower pressure was very poor.

This is a very special place. You are staying in a tented safari camp feet away from the ocean in a protected dune area. There are only 4 tents in Back of Beyond, which means the experience is largely private and remote. The camp keeps the lighting minimal which means you can see thousands, if not millions of stars at night. The food is local, not fussy, and fresh quality. The last night we had a BBQ on the beach and the fish was sourced from the fisherman just a few miles away. We stayed at many fancier hotels over our trip but this one of our favorite experiences. The service is exceptional. Coffee delivered to your tent. No outlandish kids request refused. The only reason I am not giving out five stars are the amenities. Let's just say it could use a little sprucing up. The bedding is somewhat old, the mosquito nets have a few holes, the water pressure on the outdoor shower is spotty and the camp could benefit from more comfortable chairs giving the time you'll spend lounging. With the above in mind I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Back of Beyond.

Original, en pleine forêt. La chambre était dans les arbres, ouverte. Dans le bas salon et salle de bain à ciel ouvert. Grand lit à baldaquin avec moustiquaire.( mais ils sont malin ces petites bêtes, prévoir produit anti- moustiques) Les oiseaux et animaux chantent très tôt. La chambre étant ouverte sur la nature prévoir bouchons d'oreilles et masque si besoin. Personnels prévenant et serviable. Petit déjeuner copieux et varié façon anglais. WiFi Coffre Dîner qualité prix raisonnable.
