This was the only disappointment on our Camino journey. It is too far off the camino track and, although they kindly picked us up and returned us, I wish we hadn't stayed there. We were cold and wet and there was a lovely pub in Ventas offering hot bowls of veggie soup that would have suited us perfectly. Having to wait half an hour to be picked up was miserable and then we were told that no food was being served until 8pm, which was far too late and we were ready for bed by then. It was really cold throughout the hotel, including in the dining room. Breakfast wasn't served until 8am and service was really slow. It was also the worst breakfast of our trip - just bread, cake and yoghurt. We then found ourselves at the back of the queue for transport back to the camino, and didn't get back on the track until after 10am, instead of our usual 7.30am set off. To add insult to injury, the cost of the meal was over double what we paid elsewhere on the trip. The people were lovely but this is not suitable accommodation for those walking long distances each day on the Camino as it is just too inconvenient.
