We were on a family vacation and booked a Premium room, which comes above basic and executive rooms. This used to be the best property in Palakkad 20 years ago, but we were in for a surprise. Rooms were surprisingly small and had a bad smell of cigarette and urine. When you complain, hotel management sprays room fresher. We had to keep the room windows open for hours get the smell out daily. Bad experiences continued with room service bearer Kannan who was extremely rude after he served a wrong fried rice with something looking like mutton/ beef when we asked him for an egg and prawn fried rice. Probably a union member, as none of the management we complained could offer any help. Breakfast was horrible, with very few options and any good items are chargeable separately. No one attends call for housekeeping while others claim it’s not their job to inform housekeeping anything. Food is barely consumable, not befitting a hotel claiming to be three stars. Stench of urine continues everywhere, in the corridors lifts etc. Avoid at all costs.
