Terrible. Upon arrival we were greeted by a king and accommodating owner, which was great. My card was declined through ***********, which it never had been before, making me wonder what % they take from bookings, and why the owner wanted to avoid this. We then went up to our room, which looked completely different (and much worse, in comparison) to the photos provided. The majority of amenities listed on their TripAdvisor page were not there. The room was noisy and filthy. The shower would not drain due to not having been cleaned and the shower curtain was dirty. There were spots of black mould on the ceiling. The furnishings were covered in dust, the painting rushed and patchy. There were screw holes throughout the walls and the sheets had stains on them. At 0030am, the fire alarm sounded and I had to reset it once the fire brigade were on our way. The owner, on the phone to another guest, said “oh, that happens here”. Very little apology was made and little respect was given. I expected a full refund due to the abysmal experience, but there was nobody in view when it was time to check out. Avoid this property if you value cleanliness, manners and most importantly, sleep.
