Hotel Zarampallo

I stayed here for one night in August 2024 to start my Camino from Ourense. I arrived by train from Madrid and walked to the hotel, which took about 10-15 minutes. When you start the Camino you'll walk back some of the way to the station, ie across the old bridge. The hotel is located right in the middle of Ourense surrounded by shops and plenty of restaurants. If you're looking for a centrally located hotel, this is it! The room was quite small, but that was ok for one night. It had some bathroom amenities but, besides that, it was pretty basic. It had a ceiling ventilation fan. Given its central location and the fact that I paid only 40 euro, I thought this was an incredible find. My advice is that you ask for a room that does not face the street as there was a bit of noise during the night from people out having dinner etc. I left my pack at the hotel in the morning when I left and it was picked up by Correos using the PaqMochila service. That went well. If returning to Ourense I will happily stay here again (but will ask for a quieter room).

Hotel céntrico, muy limpio y en buenas condiciones, trato del personal muy cercano y agradable. Con los carnavales habían mucho ruido pero en cuanto cerrabas las ventanas muy bien insonorizado. Puntos a mejorar que puedan ofrecer desayuno. Repetiria sin duda.

Buena limpieza y atención, si bien hay durante toda la noche ruido de tuberías, duchas, grifos... se escuchan cuando se activan desde otras habitaciones. Por lo demás bien, habitaciones pequeñas pero funcionales. Zona peatonal, por lo que no se accede con el coche.
