Exceptional value for money! Soetdoring Selfsorg offers tranquility and stunning views by the dam and is just a short drive from town. The accommodation quality was top-notch and the views were absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend it for a rustic and comfortable stay in the Oudtshoorn area. Kayaking on the dam was one of the many highlights. It's conveniently located near popular tourist spots, and the staff were super helpful and friendly. The amenities met all our needs. This was our first stay, but definitely not our last. Highly recommend—5 stars!

Soetdoring (on De Zeekoe farm) was the first stayover we had for our honeymoon, and we were so impressed! We had such easy and effective communication with the owner, received a tranquil cabin with a beautiful big patio overlooking the farm dam and felt so at peace. The cabin is also equipt with everything and more (aircon, wifi, braai facilities, modern bathroom and a nice big bed with mosquito netting). The farm has ample wildlife and bird species to view (so bring your binoculars!) and to add icing to the cake, the farm even has an amazing restaurant just a few minutes away! What more do you want?

The staff was extremely friendly and helped us make reservations to go see some wild meerkats and go for a star gazing experience here in the southern hemisphere. The food at the hotels restaurant was simply amazing! I highly recommend trying the ostrich steak, it was absolutely delicious!! The self catering accommodation has a fully kitted kitchens with all the amenities you could ask for.

The wooden cottages are in a good condition and clean. the location is great with lots of birdlife. you can row on the dam or fish or just sit on your patio and enjoy the scenery and the calmness of being out in nature
