Ich verbrachte 2 Nächte in dieser komfortablen Unterkunft in der Nähe des Hafens von Otranto, dieser traumhaften kleinen Stadt am Meer. Im Vorfeld hatte ich bereits Kontakt zum hilfsbereiten Gastgeber Salvatore. Er hat sich auch sofort gekümmert, als ich am Bahnhof stand und kein Taxi verfügbar war. Keine 10 Minuten später wurde ich von einem TukTuk abgeholt. Schon dies allein war ein Erlebnis. Die Familie und auch die Angestellte waren außerordentlich herzlich und gastfreundlich. Gleich bei meiner Ankunft bekam ich einen Kaffee serviert und wir haben uns nett unterhalten, obwohl keiner so richtig Englisch sprach, aber mit Hilfe des Handy-Übersetzers haben wir uns prima verstanden. Die Unterkunft entsprach voll meinen Vorstellungen, komfortabel, sauber mit allen notwendigen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet. In wenigen Minuten ist man in der Altstadt, das Kastell ist gleich nebenan. Ca. 20 Minuten habe ich bis zum Bauxit-See zu Fuß benötigt. Mille grazie, ich kann die Unterkunft wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Lara, who serves the breakfast was so helpful in sharing the history of Otranto, giving a lot of advice what to see around Otranto. Every morning she was super cheerful and made us the best cappuccino. She is really the soul of this B&B.

Tranquility and charm are hard to find these days. Not so at La Terraza Sul Mare in Otranto, Puglia. Otranto, a seaside town is one of coastal Puglia’s gems and La Terraza Sul Mare, its crown jewel. Our room was a delight in marble. Our terrace overlooked a charming marina. The breakfast was a delight. And unlike many of Italy’s busy seaside communities, this place is quiet. The sea is marvelous with turquoise waters that put the Caribbean on notice. But what makes this B and B so special are its owners Salvatore and Anna and their house manager Virginia. They are not just innkeepers. They become your friends. This is a place worth visiting with its kind hosts whose dedication to excellence is supreme.

To Salvadore Anna and Verginia Thank you for opening up your BB to my crew and Myself . You gave us a home from home and your friendship . The whole pace is just so completely home that it’s going to be sad to say goodbye. The rooms are absolutely spotless and so comfortable. Your breakfast is eye opening and for sure the coffee machine will have a good rest I can recommend your BB as a top place for any travelers to come and make it a base. The house is very close to the marina and historic city. The room was spacious and clean with a large shower room and balcony and an excellent coffee machine. The hosts Salvatore and his wife were warm and friendly and it was a pleasure to stay with them.

New build outside the old town, next to a big parking spot, main road & just not very pleasant location. Price to value ratio is the worst of all places we stayed in Italy in the month long trip. Avoid!

Loved the location by the port, plenty of paid parking nearby. The only weird thing was that no one was there to open the door for us! We’d called ahead, the owner left a key on the front desk... so we sat, Italian style, relaxing out front until another guest came by. It all worked out! Ciao!

Absolutely great; the room has all you need no more no less, the location is great too only few minutes away from the centro historico, price is more than reasonable but what makes it absolutely great is the outstanding. Service and the kindness of the two ladies who welcomed us, really felt homie oh and the breakfast is outstanding
