I travel a lot around the world and every time I Learn a lot. But stay at Fletcher Hotels is a learning experiences right from entry to exit. We arrived around 2.00 PM and after identification / verification were curtly told that the rooms would be ready only by 3PM and need to wait. When we said we have two wheelchair personnel, the front desk did say that we need to take the rear entrance or a ramp where you press a switch and we open the gate et al., for a new nee like us we’re in dark and was running around and finally found out and came up the ramp. If Some One could have come out and guided or atleast explained little MorenClearly We chose to lunch and exactly at 3.05PM were given the rooms with a clear instruction that we need to vacate the room by 11.00 AM sharp on 30Jun and Any late stay would be charged… The rooms were just adequately designed to sleep three in junior suite with an extra bed. But we’re finding it extremely difficult to manoeuvre the wheel chair inside the room. It’s not suitable for any challenged persons. One can’t easily get in and out of bed. Even the balcony being in triangular shape, there’s no legroom to move around even for one person with two garden chairs thrown in there. But the sea view is fantastic and can enjoy it behind the glass window from the room. Infact that was a good pastime for MOM who was engrossed in the heavy traffic of ships moving around. Also the water levels receding and hitting shores at high tides, jelly fishes getting washed away being Savoured by seagulls are sight to see. Breakfast is very ordinary and repetitive. But here again we learnt that irrespective of whether in the hall finishing your breakfast or not, sharp 10.30 it shuts down and cleaners take over. The chef too very professionally told that if you want hot water, please ask in the bar. So for the next few days we went in early and got out by 10.30 Well the breakfast was nothing too exciting and / or expecting to walk in. The sausages were too hard and salty. But evening host JACOM was very hospitable and showed a personal connection in making customers happy with a pleasant countenance . For any organization to be successful it’s the people on ground who matter and here’s one JACOM🤝 In the rooms, the soap kept in the shower is HAND WASH. Not sure whether this could be used for body and hair. But didn’t dare to ask the people there and bought soaps from outside and used it. On vacating day, we pleasantly had the surprise with the front office ROSE who was very affable and even granted us to check out a bit leisurely around 11.30. But we checked out by 11.00 itself. She even called taxi services but proved to be too costly and we made alternative arrangements. But definitely Rose made us forget the inconveniences we faced here.

Versprochen wurde uns über die Webseite ein Luxus-Hotel mit All inklusive. Vielversprechende Bilder gaben den Ausschlag, dass wir dort Silvester verbringen wollten. Alles klang edel, freundlich und kulinarisch hochwertig. Mir fällt es zum 1. Mal schwer, diese Bewertung zu schreiben, denn ich bin einfach nur enttäuscht. Denn die Realität sah ganz anders aus: - Keine Spur von Luxus, alles sehr veraltet. - Das Äußere wurde von billigen übergroßen Plastiktieren geprägt, die noch dazu in verheerendem Zustand waren. - Die Parkplätze, sehr teuer, bestanden aus Parkbuchten auf matschiger, ungepflegter Wiese - an der e-Ladestation für Autos standen permanent Wagen, die nicht elektrisch betrieben wurden - Zimmer, Speisesaal und gesamte Beschreibung auf der Webseite entsprechen überhaupt nicht den realen Bedingungen. Statt Luxusbetten und Nobelschränken billigste Regale und komplett durchgelegene Matratzen - Standardzimmer sehr klein, billig eingerichtet, teilweise kaputt und dreckig, Badezimmer erinnert an Schwimmbadumkleidekabine, - Zimmerservice unbefriedigend, Badezimmer wurde gar nicht gereinigt. - Abendessen schlechte Großkantinen-Qualität in einem Raum, der sehr laut ist - keine Getränke im Speisesaal, man müsste sie sich selbst an der Bar im Außenbereich holen, obwohl es auch in dem Raum eine Bar gibt, die aber nicht geöffnet wurde - All in bezieht sich nur auf ganz wenige Getränke bei der Variante bis 22 Uhr. Um mehr und bessere Getränke zu erhalten, müsste für 50,- € pro Person und Tag dazugebucht werden. - In der Bar, in den Fluren und im Speisesaal ist es extrem laut und daher ungemütlich - verstärkter Essensgeruch auch in der Bar und an der Rezeption - Gebäude und Außenbereich stark renovierungsbedürftig und ungepflegt - Sauna nur auf Anfrage mit langer Vorplanung Ich könnte die Liste noch beliebig fortsetzen ... Positive Aspekte gab es auch: - das Frühstücksbuffet war gut und reichhaltig. - Auch die Lage ist schön und ländlich. - Hunde sind willkommen. Die Begrüßung an der Rezeption war freundlich auf Österreichisch. Es war dort unendlich laut, da die Rezeption nahtlos in die Flure und die Bar übergeht. Trotz anfangs relativ weniger Personen war der Geräuschpegel extrem hoch. Erst nach Vorzeigen der Bestätigung wurde akzeptiert, dass bereits alles inklusive der horrend hohen Parkgebühren und des Hundezuschlags vorab bezahlt worden war. Auch musste erst nachgelesen werden, welche Art von All inklusive wir denn hätten. Es gab dann ein blaues Bändchen, mit dem wir bis 22 Uhr an der Bar aus ein paar sehr wenigen Getränken frei wählen konnten. Normale Cocktail wie Mojito etc. beinhaltete unsere Version nicht. Insgesamt gab es jedoch 6 verschiedene Cocktails zur Auswahl. Eins hatten sie alle gemeinsam: An Alkohol wurde gespart. Kaffee und sonstige alkoholfreie Getränke gab es aber beliebig. Rotwein gab es erst am 2. Abend, am 1. nur Weißwein. Der versprochene Whiskey stand nicht zur Verfügung. Noch enttäuschender war jedoch das laut Buchung

We come here twice a year, and have done for 10 years. Why? It has everything we require. Beds are comfy, rooms are extremely clean and the area has lots to see/visit. It is ideal for a trip to the coast, and the ”Kusttram” in Belgium (from Knokke) is just 10 minutes away. A day ticket is around €7.00 and is good value. Equally, the Westerschelde ferry from Breskens to Vlissingen is worth doing, and the drive there takes about 20 minutes. 42 bus from Sluis will take you there as well, but it takes around 45/50 minutes. Sluis town centre is just 5 minutes walk and is lovely. Good shops, a fantastic bakery and lots of good restaurants - if you don't want to eat at the hotel. As others have said, De Dikke Van Dale is quite old, but that should not and does not detract from its comfort.

Het hotel zit in een leuke straat in Vlissingen, parkeren is er voldoende in de buurt, wel even met het hotel een parkeerkaart regelen van te voren. Bezienswaardigheden van Vlissingen op loopafstand Vriendelijk personeel Ontbijt is heel divers, ook prima! Wij sliepen in de gezinskamer, met naast ons nog een gezinskamer, in de andere kamer naast ons hadden we een gezin met jonge kinderen die het niet naar hun zin hadden. Dan zijn de kamers veel te gehorig, dit was heel vervelend voor mijn gezin. ( dit was in de avond als iedereen gaat slapen) Het hotel is zeker een aanrader voor als je in Vlissingen wilt overnachten

Verbrachte eine Nacht in Middelburg und buchte das Hotel De Sprenck. Das Hotel war nur für Übernachtungen mit Frühstück verfügbar, bot aber eine (ausgezeichnete!) Liste guter Restaurants im Zentrum. Dies haben wir dankbar genutzt (2x Mittagessen, 1x Abendessen) mit der Auswahl an Fischrestaurants, die alle drei ausgezeichnet waren. Dazu gehörte auch das umfangreiche (Buffet-)Frühstück mit wunderschönem Blick über den Garten und den angrenzenden Kanal. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und mit unseren Fahrrädern für den öffentlichen Nahverkehr waren wir in kürzester Zeit vom und zum Bahnhof. Wiederholen lohnt sich!
