Hotel Brescia & Apartments

Hello everyone! We were guests at this hotel in early March and encountered some aspects that we would like to highlight in this review. Check-in at the hotel is until 11:00 PM, and if you arrive at night, there is no possibility to check in. We informed the hotel receptionist that we would be arriving late in the evening and asked if they could leave the keys for us or allow us to check in online. Both of these options are available in many hotels across Europe where the reception is closed at night. However, at Hotel Brescia, both options were completely rejected. The staff member suggested that we cancel our reservation (and lose 50% of the paid amount) and find another hotel if we couldn't arrive on time. They didn't explain how we were supposed to find another hotel in a small town at night. In the end, we warned them that we would try to arrive on time, but at the last minute, and asked if they could make an exception and stay open for at least 10 more minutes. We rushed from Milan airport, arrived at 11:10 PM, and found the door locked. There was no staff present. As a result, we had to urgently search for a hotel in Bergamo (an hour away) in the middle of the night just to find a place to stay. In the morning, we returned and checked in at Hotel Brescia. The rooms were fairly clean, though not renovated—there were dirty and unpainted walls. On the last day of our stay, the staff decided to clean the corridor at 6 AM with a loud vacuum cleaner, waking us up. Our stay included breakfast. There was a lot of different pastries, but basic food items were lacking—there were no eggs and no vegetables. For an extra charge, they brought us a burnt omelette. The breakfast might meet the standard for three stars, but it's still unclear why basic products were missing. It was also noticeable that the staff was economizing on electricity—they only turned on the toaster when someone entered the dining room, so we had to wait about 20 minutes for it to heat up. Additionally, each table had a sign with a warning: you must only take as much food as you can eat, otherwise, you’ll be charged. Essentially, if I didn’t like something at breakfast, I had to either finish it or pay for it. Fortunately, the staff didn’t strictly enforce this. On the positive side, there were many types of juice at breakfast. Another positive was the nice restaurant with very pleasant service. The food was prepared by the chef, and the atmosphere and presentation were lovely. I’d also like to mention the pleasant design of the reception and the first floor—it was very beautiful and neat. In conclusion, I’d like to say that the hotel doesn’t really understand what customer orientation means. In cases where other hotels would have easily made exceptions without hesitation, Hotel Brescia decided to strictly adhere to the rules, which led to wasted money, time, a ruined mood, and of course, a spoiled impression of our stay at the hotel.

The lobby/reception area and dining areas are nice and have been updated. Breakfast and dinner were good. The rooms are dated and very basic and not very large. Make sure you get a room with air conditioning as not all of them have it. Staff is generally very nice, but English is limited with only a couple of them being fluent in English. The swimming pool is behind the hotel in a fenced in grassy park-like area and if very nice and refreshing.

Nel cuore della val camonica, questo elegante albergo, munito anche di una ottima cucina, ci ha accolti col sorriso che si riserva ai vecchi amici. Ci siamo sentiti subito a casa nostra. Stanze confortevoli e ben riscaldate. Eleganti arredi e pulizia quasi maniacale. È veramente bello quando si fa una esperienza del genere, e la condivido con vero piacere. Ci torneremo. Grazie a tutti.

Hotel eccellente, pulitissimo, colazione completa sia dolce che salato, ottima, pranzo e cena con prodotti di ottima qualità e cucinati benissimo, i dolci esposti sull'apposito carrello. Personale gentilissimo e attento a tutte le esigenze della clientela. Tutta la famiglia dell'Hotel Brescia gentilissimi e squisiti e disponibili con tutti. Lo consiglio vivamente. Posto macchina. Centrale e a due passi dalle terme. Nelle vicinanze c'è tutto quello che serve. Ci sono anche difronte all'hotel 2 appartamenti favolosi, dove ho soggiornato anche lì, sempre gestiti da loro, con precisione da Alessandro, un ragazzo d'oro, muniti di ogni confort, anche con angolo cottura, un terrazzino strepitoso. Sono davvero felice di aver soggiornato per quasi un mese da loro. Complimenti a tutti voi.

Avevamo una smartbox con cui abbiamo prenotato 5 mesi in anticipo per 2 notti, nonostante l'anticipo ci hanno detto che le camere incluse nell'offerta erano terminate e dovevamo quindi prenotarne quella comfort, una camera migliore(include ampio spazio, zona giorno e vasca da bagno) pagando il supplemento di 40€ a notte; 2 giorni prima inoltre abbiamo chiamato per richiedere conferma della prenotazione. La risposta è stata positiva. Arriviamo all'hotel e ci viene detto sul momento che era pieno per l'arrivo di un gruppo più numeroso del previsto. Ci fanno quindi spostare di hotel, in uno adiacente, assicurandoci che la camera avrebbe avuto le stesse medesime condizioni, ma per il disagio, non avremmo pagato il supplemento. Tengo a specificare che loro, senza nostra richiesta, ci hanno fatto questa precisazione! Facendo il check-in nel nuovo hotel specifichiamo che la prenotazione riguardava 2 notti e loro, pur essendo stupiti, ci confermano l'alloggio. Arrivati in camera scopriamo che non era minimamente simile a quella prenotata, non solo non era "comfort" ma era molto piccola, senza neanche il bidet. Il mattino seguente andiamo in reception per ritirare i nostri documenti e ci viene fatto presente che dovevamo fare il check out visto che erano pieni ed erano rimasti d'accordo con l'hotel Brescia che saremmo rimasti solo una notte. Siamo dunque tornati al nostro hotel, facendo le valigie di corsa visto che avevamo impegni già fissati, e scopriamo che la nostra stanza non era ancora pronta, lasciamo li le valigie e usciamo. Al nostro ritorno (14:30, in pieno orario di check in), ci dicono, dopo aver cercato per 5 minuti abbondanti le chiavi della camera, che non era ancora pronta, chiamano la signora delle pulizie per farcela fare. Mentre aspettiamo, scopriamo che altre persone, arrivate in quel momento, sono state mandate via in un altro hotel: è consuetudine. Dopo 30 minuti la nostra camera è finalmente pronta (anche in questo caso non era una comfort), molto spaziosa, nuova, anche se la doccia si faceva al buio visto che non c'era una luce a illuminarla e mancava lo scopino del gabinetto. Per concludere quindi, la cosa peggiore è che il supplemento non lo abbiamo pagato ma non per il disagio ma perchè le camere erano molto inferiori a quella da noi prenotata. Oltre che furbi sono stati anche disonesti.

Su consiglio di una conoscente mi lascio guidare presso questo hotel… Bene…ottima e strategica la posizione( a 2 passi dalle terme) pratico il parcheggio. Ho prenotato una camera singola e di questa ampiezza ,con un adeguato bagno con ampia doccia, …ne ho potuto usufruire in un 5 stelle! Accoglienza professionale con una caldo, attento e quasi affettuoso benvenuto . Ho cenato , discretamente. La cucina è quasi casalinga, genuina … quello che ci vuole per mantenere la forma .
