Hotels in der Nähe von Ribeira do Abade, Oliveira Do Douro

Eine wunderschöne ehemalige Malerei (so sagten sie uns) setzte sich etwa 15 Minuten zu Fuß auf den Hügel des schönen Flusses Douro, mit allen Cafés, Restaurants und Hafenmuseen. Hotel ziemlich groß aussehen und Hotelpersonal alle klug angezogen. Wir wurden auf eine schöne Suite mit Fenster übersehen Douro. Negativ für alle anderen, dass alle anderen Zimmer mit Fenstern im Hof stehen, die ein schlechtes Design erschienen. Buffet Frühstück adäquat, Abendessen adäquat.

Wir blieben hier nur eine Nacht, da es nahe am Flughafen ist. Wir kamen um 1 Uhr und die Eincheckung war einfach und schnell. Komfortable, moderne und saubere Zimmer. Sehr ruhige Umgebung und sehr freundliches Personal. Schlief wie ein Baby. Würde hier sicher wieder bleiben, wenn es nötig wäre.

Das Zimmer war alles in allem recht großzügig was die Abmessungen betrifft, hatte so den Charm der 80ger. Leider war die Bettwäsche nicht so, wie man dies von einem 3 Sternehotel erwartet. Habe auf dem Kopfkissen im eigenen Saft gelegen und bin vollglich am anderen morgen mit Nackenschmerzen aufgewacht. Ich weiß auch nicht wieso es immer noch Hotels gibt die über eine Badewanne mit Duschvorhang verfügen, absolutes No Go. Aufgrund der momentanen Situation (CORONA) war natürlich der Service eingeschränkt, trotzdem hat es mit dem Frühstück geklappt.

I arrived at the hotel on 20 November 2022 for a 5 night stay. The stay was business related and with so many hotels to choose from, I decided to go with the Porto Palacio. What an excellent choice! The hotel is absolutely brilliant - I cannot find a fault. Check-in was very smooth and on arrival to the room - wow - very modern, crisp clean sheets on the bed and a spacious room. In terms of food, the Breakfast experience was the best part of the stay for me. I have stayed in many hotels around the world - both on a personal basis and a business basis - I can honestly say that the breakfast staff at the Porto Palacio are the best I've ever come across. On arrival, I was seated quickly. On Day 1, the staff members memorised what I had that cannot be chosen by the buffet - for example, a tea and two plates (as I like two plates) - on Days 2 and for the rest of the trip, I didn't even need to ask. I was called by my Title and Surname on arrival. The whole experience was brilliant. I would like to mention a lady called Rosa and another lady (they both greet staff members at the door) - their hospitality skills are great and they are always smiling - nothing is too much for them. I didn't eat at the restaurant in the evening but had room service as personally, I like to relax after a day at the office. The food was of good quality and was tasty and piping hot. I used the gym during my stay - the gym is open to members of the public, therefore is not your usual hotel gym. It's huge - there are loads of machines and I was never waiting for someone to finish using something. Staff members are friendly. All in all - a brilliant stay and is a genuine 5 star hotel! I will return to the Porto Palacio both on a business basis and also on a personal basis - Porto looks like a great city! It's a shame that I didn't have time to look around as I had a busy schedule but I will certainly be back! Thank you!!

Wir hatten einen hervorragenden Service von all Ihrem wunderbaren Personal, auch wenn einige von ihnen noch lernen, sie versuchten, ihr Bestes zu helfen. Besondere Erwähnung geht zu Rishi Raj im Essensraum, weil er so sehr hilfreich und effizient ist, immer aus seinem Weg, uns einen hervorragenden Service zu geben. Auch, Andre in der Bar, obwohl er noch lernen seinen Handel, war sehr freundlich und effizient. Tomas und alle Rezeptionisten hielten uns ständig und waren sehr freundlich. Wir danken ihnen so sehr für die Aufrüstung in eine schöne Junior Suite, wie wir unser Geburtstag feiern - so sehr freundlich und gedanklich. Die Mädchen, die unser Zimmer reinigen, machten sich so sehr gut. Wir würden sicher empfehlen, in diesem schönen Hotel zu bleiben, direkt neben dem Douro-Fluss - Sie konnten nicht eine bessere Position aus unserem Zimmer auf dem 8. Stock! Die Aussicht auf den Fluss und die Sonnenuntergang waren nur spektakulär. Alles, was ich noch zu sagen habe, ist Ihnen so sehr dankbar an alle wunderschönen Mitarbeiter im Pestana Douro für den Urlaub! Porto ist nur schön und definitiv einen Besuch wert 😍

Gostava de deixar um comentário sobre o Novotel porque realmente surpreendeu-me muito pela positiva. Ia sem grandes expectativas. Vi alguns comentários que mencionavam a antiguidade dos quartos e a falta de modernidade. A realidade NÃO é essa. O Hotel é maravilhoso. A entrada é enorme, os funcionários são super simpáticos e facilitam a estadia. Ficamos num quarto com vista para o mar. Com uma boa casa de banho, com uma banheira grande. Os armários do quarto são imensos! Tem um sofá cama mesmo que seja um quarto para dois. A televisão era igualmente enorme! O quarto é bonito, com uma decoração, e aconchegante. Tem ar condicionado e um mini bar que estava incluído no preço todas as bebidas do mesmo. A zona do restaurante era muito bonita. A piscina? Muito boa. A água estava sempre morna. De 0 a 10, avalio o Novotel com um 9 e só não dou um 10 pelo tamanho da piscina. É um hotel muito bom e procurado por famílias com crianças, o que faz com que a piscina esteja sempre cheia. Quanto ao pequeno almoço também quero deixar um elogio, pois é bastante variado e nunca deixam acabar as coisas. Gostei muito

I spent 2 nights in a female dorm room. I believe there are mixed dorms and private rooms as well. I had a top bunk but I think you can request a bottom one when booking if you would prefer not to climb up. I had my own lamp and a plug for recharging my devices. The bed was really comfortable. There were 4 ensuites to service our dorm and I never had to wait. The communal area is just wonderful. Cozy lounge chairs as well as some bar stools by the windows were you can look over the river and towards Porto. Most nights of the week, they serve a hostel dinner for €10 which was great value for money. We sat at the large table in the common area and it was great to chat to the other guests. It is also very close to restaurants and bars if you prefer to go out. It is an easy walk over the bridge into Porto. The breakfast was simple but plenty of it and you could request pancakes or eggs for a small extra cost (€2 I think). I was leaving early my last morning before breakfast was served so requested a breakfast box to go, croissants and fruit.
