Unique - Resort and Spa

Lovely clean hotel. Huge rooms and very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast buffet. We had half board which was nice but not extensive. Was fine for us as we are not fussy eaters and have no dietary issues. Would not give vegetarians much choice. There was an al a carte menu, but we didn't look at it so cannot comment. Only negative in our opinion was the tiny balcony, which compared to the enormous size of the room, was totally out of proportion and just big enough for two chairs and a small table. I've had bigger balconies on cruise ships!

Just arrived home after a fabulous stay at this lovely hotel , rooms are very spacious and clean. Plenty of sun beds around the pool , a little noise from the building work going on next to the hotel but didn’t spoil our holiday . Nice breakfast with plenty of choice . A couple of minutes walk to the lake where there are numerous bars , shops and restaurants all very reasonably priced. Highly recommend this hotel

Well we were a little worried when we saw some reviews but have to say we couldn't fault it and is in the top 3 hotels we've ever stayed. Just booked to go back next year. We love macedonia 🇲🇰 The hotel breakfast had plenty of choice for everyone .

There was much I liked about this hotel, but I have been awakened each morning at 5 am by 4 or 5 cement trucks unloading and pouring the foundation for a large building project, and it keeps going until 10 pm or so in the evening, which made my stay a big disappointment. Had that not been going on, my only complaint would have been weak and unstable wifi. The staff are friendly, and the room was good, but the heavy construction made my stay completely intolerable. And once the building works are completed, the view of Lake Ohrid is going to be completely or largely obscured.

We were with a tour so we had no choice but even our tour guide said he didn’t like this hotel (the worst in our 14 days trip in the neighbouring countries)…. Our Room door doesn’t lock at night . Had to ask a repair guy to come up to fix the safe which was not functioning at first. No bottled water. Tea and coffee packs not replenished. .. Spa very dirty with previous users’ underwear hanging everywhere. One sauna was out of order and nobody tried to fix it. Spa staff was very polite though. Breakfast was so so but the manager was funny and friendly. Just stayed for the convenient location (two min walking away from the popular lakeside where other hotels I heard are noisy till after midnight with people partying on the lakeside.

Big rooms, large pool and good location. Short walk to old town. The reception staff were polite and helpful as were the bar staff. Rooms are huge so plenty of space. The pool area lacks staff dedicated to keeping it clean. The bottom of the pool is filthy, sunbeds mouldy as left out in the rain and the area etc never cleaned. Eventually after some of us complained, a cleaner gave the pool area a half hearted sweep once a day and someone came to clean the pool but it was still dirty at the bottom. Things did improve slightly thereafter. The rooms are hardly serviced. You have to ask at reception if you want them cleaned properly otherwise it’s a towel change and your bin emptied. Huge issue when staying two weeks. I went out and brought cleaning gear in the end to clean my bathroom and toilets. The staff in the restaurant lack customer service skills and do not clean the tables between guests. I watched them get a napkin and give the table a light brush before relaying it. Umbrellas not taken away when windy and end up flying round the pool area. Breakfast poor. Lunch at the covered area outside the restaurant is very good. We went with Tui and raised a complaint with the rep. Offered compensation which was then drastically reduced a few days later as the hotel told them we didn’t want our rooms cleaned. Ridiculous. Twice the cleaners visited when we were getting ready and were asked to come back in a few minutes. That’s all. The rep should have supported more but wasn’t interested. Don’t bother with the Tui trips. Overpriced. Better value trips in the old town. The Albania trip with Tui felt like a day sat on the coach and customers should be advised no toilet facilities at all on the jeep Safari. The rep tells you to take cash on the jeep safari but I don’t know why as no visit to restaurants or cafes at all. This hotel just needs to make some small changes and it would be great.
