Beautiful room with comfortable bed and heated floor in the bathroom (great solution to tiled floors!). The bathtub was sooo welcome after a long day of exploring the Delmarva peninsula. Breakfast was delicious, and the backyard entertainment of birdwatching and squirrel antics was especially fun. Hosts were so pleasant and welcoming, including Avalon the dog! Linda’s a great baker, so snacks are always on hand. We’re looking for an excuse to go back.

Breakfasts were great. Well-planned and -made, great tasting, and generous. Room and bed were comfortable and very pleasant. Bathroom was well designed, clean, and efficient. Debi and Bob were friendly, helpful, thoughtful, and comfortable to be around.

I don’t often write reviews, but if I stumble on something fabulous in my travels, I usually try to pass the information along. After all, I appreciate other people’s reviews so I hope you’ll appreciate mine. We stayed at the Miller-Dunham House on Memorial Day weekend. It had been highly recommended by my son who stayed there and raved about it. The house is tucked away on a country road, easy parking in the back. Walking in the front door is like walking into your grandmother’s house with delicious smells coming from the kitchen. More about that later. The lovely couple that run this place should be giving a course in how to run a B &B. They’ve done everything right. The room we stayed in was bright, spacious, immaculate, attractively decorated with a comfy king bed, nice linens, easy to open windows, and modern AC which we didn’t need. Our en suite bathroom was clean, renovated and stocked with fluffy towels and very nice soaps and body cream. Oh, and did I mention the heated floor in the bathroom? Breakfast is included in the price of the room, and trust me, this breakfast is incredible. You will assume that the chef in the kitchen was trained in Paris or at the Culinary Institute, but you’d be wrong. He’s self trained and obviously, very, very gifted. I’m sure other reviewers have covered this territory so I will leave it at that and simply say you probably will be photographing your meal and you may not need lunch. Enjoy!

This is a GEM!! Quiet, very clean (thanks to Debi), and had a GREAT breakfast each day (Thanks to Bob who does the cooking). We were traveling and doing a 4 day biking trip along the East shore of the Chesapeake Bay and decided to explore a bit in Delaware - never been to this area. A lot of history both in Odessa and New Castle. This B&B was centrally located and the online reviews were stellar - so we stayed for 3 nights. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Both Bob and Debi were the most gracious host & hostesses. Beautiful property and CLEAN!! We can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. Don't miss the Cantwell Tavern (separate review) for dinner. A short 5 minute walk. Also, the Odessa historical society does tours of several of the very old homes nearby with lots of stories of the revolutionary war days and the families who lived there. WE ARE GLAD WE CAME!!
