The Grange at Oborne

Would highly recommend for a break away. We booked direct with the hotel and they offered a great deal including dinner, bed and breakfast. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional. Quiet location with plenty of parking and beautiful garden. Excellent service. We will be back again.

Superb hotel situated in one of the most beautiful locations I have ever seen! I cannot express enough just how enchanting Sherborne is. My husband and I went on a 11 kilometre hike through the countryside and came across landscapes and features that left us breathless and in awe. To live here is to be blessed with some of the most exquisite surroundings. The staff were charming and attentive. The hotel and restaurant were busy the entire time and yet the service did not faulter. The hotel is well-maintained, clean, with loads of character and plenty to keep the eye busy with eclectic trinkets and decor. The rooms are large, very clean with modern bathrooms and very comfy beds. A good night's sleep on the second night, but the first night we had noisy neighbours as the walls are a bit thin, but this is forgivable given the age of the building. The garden is delightful and we were woken both mornings by glorious bird song. The ducks swimming in the brook which runs through the village was a special treat on our departure. The resident cat, Neptune is a perfect addition to this amazing hotel. We will most certainly be back.

A truly welcoming and attentive team are complemented by extremely comfortable and well equipped bedrooms. Dining in the restaurant is a highly enjoyable experience with largely local produce being prepared to the highest standard. This lovely, 3star hotel, performs way above it's rating and is well worth a visit. Highly recommended!!

Stayed one night B&B en route from Devon to Kent. What a find nearly didn't bother with the rest of the trip! Brilliant staff who upgraded us to a lovely room/suite complete with balcony - a seriously comfortable room. Lovely comfortable bar with a warm real log fire. Breakfast was superb with all local ingredients - great sausages. This hotel is how hotels ought to be.

From the stylish and eclectic interior to the excellent service, The Grange delivered on every front. It was a relaxing experience and the service staff were excellent. The room was big and well-appointed with everything you could need. The owners really have gone out of their way to make the guest experience as pleasurable as possible. Well done to everyone.

We were recommended to The Grange and it does not disappoint. Such a warm and welcoming place in a hamlet just outside Sherborne. It is quirky and beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds, and lots of hot water. The resident cat is adorable.
