Sadly, we were expecting more. Our Sunday Afternoon Tea could have been better! On arrival there seemed to be confusion as to where we were sitting. A men and a women seemed to be competing as to who was in charge, and who should decide where we sat. The, I think but could be wrong, Russian lady won that battle, but sighed heavily when we explained that we had some dietary restrictions. Our Tea stands were from the 80's, and one was on not straight! But, where delivered by two lovely young ladies who explained our stand, they were a breath of fresh air - please let them meet and sit everyone! -The scones were nice, but the cakes underwhelming. Service was slow, and it looked like there were more managers than staff working that day, and that those managers really didn't want to be there. We struggled to get attention to order more tea, even after we were told refills were included. A brief respite came when an older gentleman called Gavin came an asked us if he could clear our stand, it was empty, to give us some more space. He asked if he could get us any more tea, or maybe a coffee. He had such a warm manner. This review would have been worse if it had not been fro Gavin and the two young ladies.
