Staybridge Suites O'Fallon Chesterfield by IHG

The room only had decaf coffee and nobody could seem to find any regular coffee. Feeding me decaf is a cruel thing. The staff were on this and were helpful other than not being able to find it. The pool was down and I didn’t know about this beforehand. The staff at the front desk did offer a solution to use the pool in the neighboring hotel which was owned by the same entity. The bathroom in the room with the king size bed sounded like a freight train, the walls were badly in need of paint, the door hinges were rusted, and there was previous door damage poorly repaired. All in all, the staff did what they could and were helpful as much as possible, but some other items could use some work.

Pool was out of order. Breakfast was good. Parking easy and safe. Elevator interior was not well-maintained. A few taped up signs with several misspellings.

Pool was a major draw to us staying and upon check-in, we were told it was closed for maintenance. They said we could use the pool at their property next door, but it was a small indoor pool that was overcrowded due to being used by both hotels. We booked a king sized bed room that included a fold out bed. The blankets, sheets and pillows weren’t in the room , which isn’t a big deal but when we asked for them, we were provided a duvet cover for a blanket (no blanket inside of it) and told it was just a really thin blanket, so she would give us 2 to keep warm. We had to follow her to the laundry room to collect the items and then had to return their layer for towels and pillows. The night person working the front desk needs some major training in customer service. The morning staff was great, specifically the young man at breakfast. This could be a really nice hotel but the facility needs a deep clean - from the main hotel to the rooms and the gym. Would consider staying again if the reviews showed better cleanliness and staff.

The 7 of us that stayed in the suite with 2 rooms loved it. Any time we come to the area this is where we will be staying.

Breakfast was amazing! The pool was under construction. The sink had very low drainage but the water pressure in the shower was great.

The swimming pool is out of order and looks like it has been for awhile. I dosent even look like the are working on a repair. The elevator is dirty.

Fairly nice say, about 5 days. Relatively quiet in room. Room was really nice except the a/c didn't work well to begin with but pulled out the filters that hadn't been cleaned in awhile. so when I pulled them out it worked A LOT better. I planned on several meals there and bought food. Apparently the refrigerator in the room was broken and when I got to the food the next day to cook it was warm...lots of food/money wasted. The bothersome part was when I let the front staff know about the refrigerator, I showed him the food as I needed help finding a big enough trash can...and he said, "thank you," when i explained the situation. That response just didn't seem to quite fit. I just lost three days of food and the response was thank you? I later went back, told him the room number. There was another person with him then and she said she'd have someone look right away and she seemed a lot more understanding of the situation. ...and yes, I checked and adjusted the thermostat knob in the fridge to make sure it wasn't an oversight by myself. No matter what setting the fridge remained warm.

We stayed here for one night while in the area for a wedding. The hotel was a little worn and dated, but very clean. The suites were quite spacious and had everything you would need for a longer stay. The hotel itself was very quiet, which was very nice. We were a little disappointed that the pool was not open yet, but were thrilled with the late check out availability. Also, great hot breakfast!

It did take quite an effort to get the shower control to work properly. almost gave up.
