Amazing and authentic experience 2 hours away from Nuwara Eliya

Located in the middle of misty mountains. Such a great place for vacation to disconnect from the busy city ife. Staff was welcoming and offered a great service. They even arranged a jeep to visit the view points and waterfalls around the area. Delicious food and helpful staff. An ideal place for a tea factory experience. Hotel staff demonstrated the tea makings process.

Tea and Experience was the best place we've visited so far. It held special meaning for me as it coincided with my birthday and our first wedding anniversary. The support we received, from guiding us correctly to ensuring our trip was unforgettable, was exceptional. The food was outstanding, and they went the extra mile to make my birthday truly memorable with special arrangements. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to experience the true essence of tea culture in Sri Lanka.

Was such an amazing experience. We really enjoyed our stay there. The tour of the tea factory was very informative and the walk to see the waterfall was very beautiful. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Very calming atmosphere that helped us relax.

We had a great stay at Tea and Experience Factory to celebrate our 05th Wedding Anniversary.I must say that the staff from top level to the bottom are realy professional friendly and supportive.We experienced a hike to a beautiful waterfall called Kabaragala waterfall which lied through a scenic route filled with natural beauty.We were guidw by a well educated experienced young naturalist,he has a good knowledge about the nature and lot of animals and he shared them with us all along the journey.I must also say about the food,they are delicious,hyginicy prepared and I must thank you to the team for arranging am adorable table and bed decoration for our anniversary.The location of the property is peaceful,calm and realy beautiful.Anyone who lovea to stay peacefuly looking at a misty mountain and feel the blisfil wind,this the right place! Earlier this was the famous Kabaralagala tea factory,they demonstrate how a tea factory operate from leaf to the cup.That was very informative we would like to thank you the all staff and the Thema group for maintaining such a good quality and the hospitality irrespective of that we are locals.I highly recommemd this place anyone and we will definitly visit here not again but many times. It was a beautiful hotel with a marvellous view. They welcomed us in a traditional way, which is interesting. The Manager Mr. Buddhika & his staff were friendly & helpful. Food was up to the standards. The room was clean & tidy with a great view. The room atmosphere is very unique. Explanation & the description given by Mr. Dilantha, on the tea factory, it's history and functioning were very clear & interesting. Overall, it was a great experience with beautiful nature and great people.

The first thing you need to know about this Hotel is the Google Map directions don’t take you to the hotel. They’ll take you to a spot 3km short of the hotel, just keep going. But when you do find it, it’s impressive with views to match. We stayed for 2 nights full board in September. Full board includes breakfast, 3 course lunch, small afternoon tea and 4 course dinner. The food was all to a good standard with service excellent. Included with our 2 night stay was the ‘leaf to cup’ tea experience and a walk to a waterfall. The leaf to cup experience was fantastic, explaining exactly how tea is picked and turned into the drink we know and love. The walk to the waterfall through the tea fields was great too. This hotel is a little off the beaten track but well worth a visit.

Hotel location was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are large enough but the shower cubical was too small. The walls of the rooms are built from very cheep materials ( asbestos sheet & Metal sheets) . You can hear conversations clearly from other rooms. At midnight you can hear sounds even from 4 rooms away. Will never recommend this to a honeymoon couple or a couple who is ready to have private conversations with in their room. Food was good, but their fresh fish balls are like dry fish balls.

It had an amazing view, and it is based around a couple of mountains, so it gets darker earlier, and it was a super view from the room, Our room was in the Periya Dorei wing and just outside the room the door to the swimming pool is to the right. The first day they first took us to pick tea leaves and after that they showed us the whole tea factory process and took us free, then they took us to a trek to a waterfall free (if we want to go vehicle, they charge us (I don't mind that)) and for free they gave us a high tea. The view was superb and on our check-out day the wind was extreme so that if we put our hands out and we run, the wind makes such a noise I'm sure I can't even hear a dozen loudspeakers. It was disappointing that there was no TV but the view made up to it even more. Grand and Tasty food. Too fair for the prize.
