This was a nice hotel with a nice beachfront. Tbh, I was expecting so much more for a Hard Rock Hotel, esp since this was rated as a 5 star hotel. I stayed for 6 Days/5 Nights. The room was small and smelled damp as did the hallways. There are several restaurants here but truthfully, only the Mexican, Italian and Asian restaurants are worth it. Skip the Brazilian spot; not worth it IMO. If you eat breakfast buffet, I recommend you eat it at Ciao vs The Market. Let’s talk about the hospitality and staff; they are On Point! They made the stay wonderful. Oscar, Berny, and Daniel were amazing at the pool deck and always took good care of us! Berny’s service was amazing, I felt he was sincere and he even helped me find a curling iron for our photos; didn’t have to go out of his way but he did!! The HRH is a little away from Old Town- took us about 45 mins on a weekday bc of traffic. It’s 5 mins to Vallarta Adventures. We took private transportation to Sayulita/San Pancho which took about 1hour each way (longer to get back due to weekday traffic). To get to Puerto Vallarta’s beaches (Concha’s Chinas, Las Gemelas) expect upwards of 1 Hour or more depending on traffic. Overall, I’d give this place 4 stars out of 5. I don’t think I’ll stay here again (they need a major renovation) and will try somewhere else. I stayed at RIU Palaceast time and I’d rate that place much better than HRH, in my opinion. Overall, enjoyed my vacation and look forward to visiting Nuevo Vallarta soon!!
