Narbona Wine Lodge

We stayed at Narbona Wine Lodge in Carmelo for 3 nights, and it was a beautiful and memorable experience. We were in the Tannat room, which was spacious and beautifully laid out. It had a cozy front sitting area with a couch, TV, and desk, plus a generous outdoor patio that made the whole space feel like our own little retreat. The bed was super comfortable, the hair dryer was excellent (a rare win in hotel rooms!), and while the bathroom had good counter space, better lighting at night would really elevate the experience. The setting is absolutely stunning—they’ve done such a beautiful job with the ambience and overall atmosphere. It’s peaceful, historic, and incredibly well put together. You feel like you’ve stepped into a different rhythm of life, in the best possible way. One of the highlights was the wine tasting, which was included with our room. We didn’t know it needed to be pre-booked, but the staff were incredibly accommodating in finding a time that worked for us. We also booked the five-course tasting dinner, which was delicious. The accompanying tour was in Spanish only, but there was a lovely couple nearby who helped translate, and we managed just fine. The whole evening felt relaxed and special. Service throughout was exceptional. Special shout out to Maurizio at the front desk and the wonderful woman from Portugal in the restaurant—both went above and beyond to make our stay feel thoughtful and personal. You really do feel like you’re the only guests there. Breakfast was a standout—served on the outdoor porch (not buffet-style), with homemade everything: dulce de leche, jams, yogurt, granola, and eggs made to order. Such a perfect start to the day. We highly recommend Narbona. The setting is stunning, the wine is excellent, and the whole experience feels both refined and deeply relaxing. A truly special stay.

What a Wonderful place to relax , taste the wine's cheese jams, fruit and more ,the staff are very warm, kind and friendly, they are here for you if you need help. One of te most enjoyable nights was the premium wine tasting we will be back ,pool and garden area very nice to relax and enjoy

Narbona Wine Lodge is a beautiful escape. The wine is obviously incredible but what makes this place so special is the amazing food, customer service and all the little touches. We did the 5 course meal with wine pairing and it was excellent from start to finish.

Excellent experience. The room was fabulous, spacious, with all the details. Very good period decoration. You can have non-alcoholic drinks from the mini bar (included in the rate). All the staff were very attentive. There is a space to have whisky, cognac or coffee (also included). The decoration of everything was great. Everything was very well cared for. The restaurant and the breakfast were of a very high standard. Experience to repeat.

A very beautiful quaint hotel. The restaurant was good, the little store of products was also good, The cheese was amazing. You will find Narbona Dulce de leche around the country. We went on a sunset boat tour 5 minutes away which was fun. Watch out for big lizards around the property, very cool to see them wander about. Pool area was very nice, with water and snacks for free. We were in the Rose room and it was very charming. Did some wine tastings at local wineries. Looks like great biking area but did not bike this trip, but saw lots of road riders.

The place is beautiful! You feel like you are at a farm. Our room was huge. The restaurant was cozy and romantic. Service was ok! Breakfast was a bit slow. Good but nothing to write home about. The wine tasting event was good. All in all it’s a nice place but it lacks more attention to details
