The Walton Hotel

DO NOT BOOK! We had a reservation for 15 Sept. On arrival we found the place padlocked up on all entrances, with 24 hour security notices posted around the building. This place has clearly gone out of business and I'm now trying to get my money refunded as we had to prepay. TOTAL SCAM.

Very poor service!!! My daughter booked a room though agoda at 8:30pm on the train from Liverpool, when she arrived Nottingham and went to the hotel at 11pm and nobody in the reception, she waited 1 hour until midnight still no any staff come in, I try to call hotel number and only voice mail and left the message, finally someone pick up the phone and said the latest check in time was 10pm, I said there is no any information said the reception closed at 10pm in the email or confirmation, he was argued it should showing on the booking and I should call agoda to solve the problem, he can't send anyone back to hotel to help, fine, I attached the picture to let everyone know there is no any notice about reception close at 10pm, and I'm very worry about my daughter waiting in the reception along near 1am and still doesn't know where she can stay!

We were due to stay on the 10th August but had to cancel the booking and was granted a full refund of £81. Despite me calling 3 times (twice I’ve left answerphone messages and spoken to someone once who promised to call me back and didn’t) we still haven’t received the refund. Yesterday the company that owns the hotel (Lux) took an additional £81 out of my account fraudulently. I’ve had to cancel my card and raise it as fraudulent activity with the bank. I’ve tried calling them twice more, no answer or returning my calls. I’ve reported them to ******* who we have booked through. I’ve never left a bad review on any hotel or restaurant but I’ve also never had a hotel steal money from my account either. I’m really upset.

The worst experience I’ve ever had in my life, Booked a room, arrived at 11am and spoke to the staff but couldn’t check in. After my day out at the Cricket, was told my room was double booked. No other hotel arranged, staff ignored us, and then left us to walk the streets. Avoid at all costs. Genuinely the worst experience I’ve ever had

Booked this place 6 months via a well known internet provider. Two night stay to attend the Test Match. Got emailed by the aforementioned website on Wed to say the booking had been cancelled despite the fact it had been paid for (website refunded within 48hrs) Owners or the people that operate the day to day running of the place are an absolute disgrace and should be ashamed of themselves.

They cancelled our hotel booking with no notice (having booked and paid for it!) giving us no time to rebook another hotel. Having booked months ago. It was around Graduation at the University, so all other hotels were booked. Unbelievable. Shocking. Rude.
