My son and I visited the Duke Street Premier inn as a birthday treat for him to do some shopping in the city. Our first visit to this Premier Inn, and we chose it for its location so close to the shops ( I stayed recently at the PI Nelson which was not up to the usual PI standard sadly). We received a lovely welcome, and our room on the first floor was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfy, as always in a PI, there was a fan and heater in the room also which was a good touch, the fan came in handy as the room was quite warm for me. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both meals were good, again lovely friendly service from all the staff. Can't fault it in any way and would happily return. We parked in the St Andrews multi story, literally next door, found a space straight away when we arrived just before 5pm on a Friday, left around midday Saturday and it cost £17.

Laut der Straße außerhalb des Fensters bis 3.30am, kurz nach dem Verkehrslärm, so haben wir sehr wenig Schlaf! Unser Zimmer mit einem Feuerplatz (wie auf der Website beschrieben) hatte weder Strahlen noch einen Feuerplatz und war klein und schrecklich gestalten, wobei ein Großteil des Zimmers von einem freistehenden Bad aufgegriffen wurde, so dass der Schrank gegen eine Wand auf der anderen Seite gekrümmt wurde. Das Zimmer war nicht willkommen, zumindest zu sagen. Als wir das Straßenlärm bei der Abreise erwähnten, wurde uns gesagt, dass wir nächstes Mal einen ruhigen Raum fragen .....wir werden nicht nächstes Mal. Wir buchten direkt mit dem Hotel und wurden nichts über Straßenlärm erzählt. Ein Kühlschrank mit einem lauten Hum wurde neben dem Schrank auf einem kleinen Tisch gestellt. Das Frühstück war ausreichend, aber gepuckte Eier waren hart. Nicht ein wunderbares Erlebnis.

This Premier Inn is situated in a convenient spot close to the railway station and beside the river. All the main attractions of the city are within a short walk. The first thing to notice is that the hotel is impeccably clean throughout. Staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. Our Quad Room was plenty big enough and contained everything necessary for a quiet night. The room seemed to be well insulated from noise (other hotels please note!). We enjoyed an excellent evening meal and fine breakfast the following morning in the adjoining restaurant. The value here could not be argued with. We will return!

I was pleasantly surprised by the Marlborough Hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Snowy white linens and towels, which I always appreciate. I did have a bath and the water was lovely and hot. Breakfast was Continental, you could make your own toast, there were cheeses, jams, marmalade, fresh fruit and yoghurt, cereals and a wide range of teas and coffees to choose from. The coffee was particularly good. The hotel manager was extremely friendly and helpful. The other members of staff were very polite and courteous. This is the ideal place to use as a base to explore the lovely city of Norwich. The hotel is such good value for money and I would definitely stay there again if I was n the area.

Really looking forward to staying here, because according to the reviews it is almost perfect. But it is not! Firstly parking is not easy. One side of the street is timed parking, the other is in a restricted zone, so beware if you are taking your car there. Whilst booking we asked for a room in a quiet area as we are very light sleepers, and had to get up very early the next morning to go to work. Getting into our room, past the ”I am clean” sign on the door handle,there was no window open, and the room was suffocating. We pulled back the curtains to find window condensation between the 2 panes. Photo attached, but to our dismay, the extractor fan for the hotels kitchen was right outside our room, and was on full blast, so impossible to leave the window open. Went downstairs to ask if there was another available room, we would have been happy with a family room and pay the difference, but we were told the hotel was full. So back to our room, and longing for a shower went into the shower room. 1 loose tile on the floor which rocked when you stood on it, and disgusting mold both in the shower cubicle & on the adjoining wall. So no shower, and health issues meant that I could only spend the briefest of time in that unsanitary room. It does not take much to clear up that health & safety issue, if only the owners could be bother to check that their rooms are fit for purpose. The room itself is a bit worn and unloved. One of our 2 single beds had something below the divan on the floor, again picture attached. Heaven knows what that is? Strangely, some one had taken the tissues out of the complimentary box, cut them in half & put them back in the box. What is the point in that, as you needed 2 halves to use for any purpose that you might want! One plus point, the amenity tray was well stocked. Lastly when we checked out the next morning @ 6am, the room next to us still had the ” I am clean” sign on it, so an unused room, and not a full hotel as we were told.

Ein wenig von einem Spaziergang von den Clubs, aber nicht zu schlecht. Der Büromann schien ein wenig grummig, wer hat gute Kundenservice. Ich habe mehrere Male mit Fragen angerufen und sie waren immer sehr nett über das Telefon. Sie haben einen 24-Stunden-Vordertafel so, perfekt für spät einchecken. Aber früh am Morgen versuchte die Reinigungsmannschaft, in mein Zimmer zu kommen (aber ich hatte den oberen Schrank auf, so dass sie die Tür offen und geschlossen blieben, um sie abzunehmen), und ich musste aufstehen, um ihnen zu sagen, dass ich noch da war. Ich wurde dann gesagt, dass es im System gesagt hat, ich habe eine Stunde vorher geprüft.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut, aber es ist sehr gut. Wir hatten ein Abendessen, ein Bett und ein Frühstückspaket, sie haben ein QR-Code-Ordersystem, das bedeutet, dass Sie bestellen, bezahlen und Lebensmittel oder Getränke kommen zu dem Tisch. Es scheint eine gute Idee zu diesem Zeitpunkt mit allen Personalmangel. Es war lustig, als ich, versehentlich bestellte 2 Flaschen Wein, aber das Personal war wunderschön und half mir raus. Sie gab uns sogar einen Seitenauftrag anstelle eines Starters, den sie nicht brauchen. Das Essen war gut und sehr heiß. Mein Freund verwendete den Pool, den sie sagte, war sehr gut, aber es gab dort keine Handtücher bei 07.00 Stunden. Frühstück war sehr gut, genug zu wählen, und das heiße Buffet war eigentlich sehr heiß. Wir würden diesen Ort definitiv empfehlen.

Wir waren froh mit diesem Hotel. Parkplatz mit meinem blauen Schild war einfach und nahe der Rezeption. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir waren zufrieden mit dem Layout und der Raumlichkeit unseres Zimmers.Decor ist gut, und wir hatten sehr angenehme Mahlzeiten im Konservatorium. Wir sind leichte Essen und wir fanden, was wir wollten, indem wir die illustrierten Tabletten, die von der Mitarbeiterin bereitgestellt werden. Wir hatten jedoch ein Problem. Da ich mit dem Service für die Abendessen zufrieden war, habe ich jeden Tag einen Tipp verlassen und es war erst nachdem ich die Rechnung zu Hause überprüft, dass ich fand, dass Kosten hinzugefügt wurden. Wir wurden nicht dazu angeraten und sahen keine Beratung auf den Tablet-Menüs. Scham - bis damals waren wir sehr glücklich. Es stoppt uns nicht wieder zu gehen, aber wir werden keine Tipps hinterlassen!

Sehr schönes Hotel. Wir hatten ein großes Paar Tage. Nach der Ankunft wurde uns ein Zimmer upgrade gegeben. Wir blieben in einer Suite, die sehr komfortabel und nett war. Das Essen in einem Restaurant war gut, obwohl wir nur einmal Abendessen hatten. Das Spa war eine schöne Behandlung, vor allem genossen das Dampfzimmer.

Wir genossen wirklich unsere entspannende Spapause. Spa war von 6am bis 10pm verfügbar ohne Vorbuchung, die großartig war. Das Gebäude war sauber, der junge Empfangsmann war je so lächelnd und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war lecker und die Loungebar war großartig. Der Gartenbereich war schön, der Golfplatz war schön.
